Re: Show Yourselves! (Photo Thread)

The alcohol and food certainly doesn't help, but special occasions are usually the only chance I have to rest so I tend to go into them very tired. Also, if I don't remain standing while drinking I will almost always fall asleep. Actually I'm kind of a sleepy person in general, I can't lay down with...

Re: Show Yourselves! (Photo Thread)

So the night before Thanksgiving I didn't sleep, then we drove to my moms place, ate a bunch, and drank some. I eventually fell asleep in a chair at about 11:30PM while watching Videodrome. This is the picture my brother took. http://i.imgur.com/MLNUV.jpg I'd just like to point out the full beer tha...

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar

Real estate in and around D.C is pretty valuable, considering the number of important government offices and support services located there, as well as the tourism industry, so I'm actually not surprised by those prices. Seattle is basically around $500-800 per person for shared living spaces, and s...

Re: Games you are playing

Elder Scrolls games on consoles. heh I was skeptical about this as well having played Bethesda games since about 1996 or so, and having heard that the console versions of Morrowind and Oblivion were somewhat clunky. I avoided playing them on consoles for a while and basically had the opinion of &qu...

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar

You probably won't get as much done during commutes as you expect, but yes, having some rest in between your job and hurrying home is a definite plus of public transport. I hear that America is really huge, so maybe an 80 minute commute is small to you. Then again, I don't think American days are m...

Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)

I was referring mostly to the non-action sequences, which were framed and colored beautifully. The DOP has an amazing sense of field depth that you don't often get in blockbuster films, which are usually filmed so much on green screen that the photography doesn't really matter. But yeah, I prefer sp...

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar

I think I'd rather live in a shoebox and spend a bit more than hassle with strangers for roommates. FACT. When I move to the Bay I might try briefly to find a roommate, but will probably just live in some sort of box as close to transit as possible. Dealing with strangers is a mistake, I'd say. Or ...

Re: Games you are playing

I do not think I will ever learn the items, though. I play LoL quite a bit when I am not otherwise distracted by other games, or school, or whatever, and items have always been the biggest hurdle for me. I really like the game, and I understand the champions I play and who they are good/bad against...
