Re: DISCUSSION THREAD: Where do you keep your washing machin
^ I've heard a lot of weird drink-names before, but never remember what's in them. Bloody Mary is full of veggies. Any of you americans going to do that democracy-thing everybody's talking about? Bloody Mary - Vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice. Season with Worcestershire, tabasco, and some salt and ...

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
Thats all well and good, but its all very boring and predictable to me. I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, and you've probably put more thought into it than I have. My opinions on this probably vary wildly from many other peoples because I don't typically read YA literature. I was looking for ...

Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)
Actually I believe it was criticism, since the statement is likely based on the truth, and it doesn't negatively affect an entities reputation. Also the difference between slander and libel is REALLY hazy in an electronic setting.

Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)
Japanese horror is a good example of where remakes go wrong. There is a different sensibility about film making in Japan, for one thing budgets are much lower, and so the horror movies that they make tend to be much more about the uncanny than American horror. They don't have the budgets for big CGI...

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
o_O I thought Katniss and her emotional state was the only redeeming feature in the story. Otherwise, it was a solid C worthy book. I kinda wish that the author had taken some more time with the story and actually figured out what she wanted. The book felt just so underdeveloped and rushed. I can t...

Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)
There are a lot of negative connotations to "remakes", mostly because a lot of remakes are really bad, but I would pose to you that it can also be a very good thing. "Yojimbo" and "A Fistful of Dollars" are the same movie, so much so that the production company behind &...

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
So I'm almost done reading Mockingjay . Am I alone in thinking that Katniss is not only the least interesting character in these books but also totally impossible to sympathize with? I just don't fucking feel bad for her, shes a shitty person. I know shes supposed to have been hardened by her years ...

Ah! I wake.
A Dead Nazi is a drink made of equal parts Rumple Minze (peppermint schnapps) and Jagermeister. I apologize for being out of context. Halloween/House Warming parties are always a disaster.

Head out to walk to work -> ice everywhere http://i.imgur.com/iD26U.gif There is great pleasure to be had knowing that this ice brings great suffering to humanity. I myself actually like ice. It is as beautiful as it is fascinating. I feel the same way whenever it pisses rain in Seattle. People her...

Re: What do you eat?
Just cracked open my bottle of blue Mountain Dew I had saved at the back of my fridge since Vegas this summer. Gosh darn how do you Americans not drink this stuff every day. It really has more to do with not being ABLE to drink it. I haven't been able to consume that much sugar and caffeine since I...

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar
Really? Maybe I have a really good memory? I'm surprised that people have such a difficult time placing moments in time. While I can't recall specific dates and things like that I can certainly place events in my past very very accurately. Perhaps more accurately than others. Sometimes I HOPE desper...

Re: Pets! And stories
How can y'all stand the stench without a lid? Seriously. I once looked after my sister's cats for a week and had to empty the litterbox. It was truly nauseating :( And catfood doesn't smell appetizing either. I wasn't a cat person before, but that week really put me off them for good. I've declined...

Re: Pets! And stories
Yeah. The bartender at my old local had a cat that did that. Showed me a video of it, absolutely fucking insane. I wish my cats (when I had cats) could have done that.
