Re: Random Image Thread!
I can't paint Its something you get better at, if you're interested at all, buy one of the Assault on Black Reach sets. You'll get a ton of easy to build Orks and Space Marines. Its a pretty good learners set, its cheap for a lot of minis, so you can afford to screw up, or try things. Some friends ...

Re: ITL Book Club - Sign Up Now!
Which raises an interesting point -- what does the club think about narrative and creative non-fiction? As I think most of you may have gathered, I love non-fiction. If I could recommend any one book right off the bat, it would be Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The author assures us its true, but ...

I should tour to California and distribute booze to the underage masses...
I'm pretty far from a lightweight, I guess.
I've also thought about doing a drunken Starfe webcast. Like where I take questions.
And then ramble for half an hour on something mildly related.

Re: ITL Book Club - Sign Up Now!
I'm going to laugh when you assign us your school reading, and then mine the book club discussion for a take-home final. Actually I would totally assign this autobiography I'm currently reading for class, were it not so long. Its pretty fucking awesome. 19th century samurai-class frat boy style ant...

Re: School!
Universities generally aren't going to look too closely at your actual transcript. They're more interested in your overall stats; GPA and ACT/SAT in the states. Solid troof. My ACT was kind of shitty, but my SAT scores were pretty solid, got a near perfect verbal score one of the times I took it. M...

Re: ITL Book Club - Sign Up Now!
I like this idea a lot! Especially the book length limit, as I dont read all that quickly. I have plenty of books I could suggest (especially outside of the fantasy genre, which I know everyone here is heavy on) and I would love to have people to talk with about them. But for now I have to pass, thi...

Re: Work!
Today, while installing a webcam over an autopsy table, so that one of the hospitals I work at can have conferences with the others while doing autopsies, I realized that with my administrative access I could pretty easily set it up so that I could watch autopsies from home. Then I remember how fuck...

Re: School!
We were allowed to go into class 20 minutes early to take our math test, but even with the extra time I was writing right until the bell rang. Didn't quite finish, there were a few questions I skipped and didn't get time to do. Math suucks My high school math career: Geometry: D- Adv. Algebra: C- I...

I do! I was on my way home from class! Acceptable time to have a beverage. I later had a bottle of champagne. Why do you ask?

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
OTL my wallet cries every time my car's gas light comes on. Walking/Busing everywhere sure is nice... Now I even have access to the network of hospital shuttles in Seattle. Its like public transportation, without creepy homeless people! Seriously though I'm really happy I don't drive. And it lets m...
