Re: What I Hope for the Next (?) Etrian Odyssey
^How the FUCK would more story drive away fans? That makes no sense. As long as its party of 5 first person dungeon crawler and making your own map with a variety of useful class choices and challenging bosses, thrown in with some new ideas and enemies, I will still play it. Whether there's more sto...

Re: What I Hope for the Next (?) Etrian Odyssey
It was meant to make you lost and confused, just like the NPCs mention in the game. It fits the theme of the stratum and follows logic flawlessly. It does take a little getting used too.

Re: What I Hope for the Next (?) Etrian Odyssey
@Reynard: Floors get bigger as you progress if I remember right. And as always you'll find new stuff concerning strata you've already visited later on. @garett: Misty Ravine doesn't teleport it wraps around a set rectangular boundry that's seperated by doors . If you want a teleport maze, EO1 ha...

Re: Guitar Hero is enjoyable as a game.
Guitar hero is meh to me. I have poor finger coordination, so I could never really get past anything but the easier difficulties (And god help me if I have to use two+ fingers at the same time.)

Re: In Need of Skill Point Advice...
^The only time you need to worry about the 55% criteria is for a level 10 climax. All other attacks/status/binds can be used when the enemies are at full health. You can check an enemies health when you select them for attacks. Dampen on Hexer Also, skill point balance is a weird thing, but its real...

^Only if your antis resist, but not outright nullifies or absorbs the attack.
The elemental mists can also be used to resist, attacks in such a way that Magibait works beautifully.

Re: In Need of Skill Point Advice...
Also, here's my lengthy review for Landss. Like, really lengthy. It helps examine the good and bad sides of the class. There aren't any actual spoilers in here, I just didn't want to eat up most of the page: For L: Never ever under any circumstance go beyond level 3 in swords and 5 in axes, unless y...

Re: In Need of Skill Point Advice...
Protectors aren't a necessity until the post game I'd say (At which point you only need them once or twice). Trading L for a DH is not a bad trade. You'll be missing out on AoE when fighting regular mobs, but you'll get great use out of climax, ectasy, and viper. I would use DH over Axesnekt, though...

Re: Trekking through the Labyrinth...
Geomagnetic fields exists, but there are far fewer (But still a few) shortcuts to help make trips to the B5/B10/B15F/B20F/etc. that little bit faster. Once you reach the 5th stratum, there's only 1 shortcut that helps you reach the final boss quicker, and in the post game there is one very important...

Re: Story v Classic Advice
When the game was first announced, I recall rumors saying that you could change the classes of the story mode characters. Now I hear that you can't. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I know Grimoire stones are a thing, but I wanted to know if complete reclassing is possible. Also, in regards to unlo...

Re: Are you supposed to avoid the FOE's indefinitely in this
^I started from 3 and went backwards, I liked all of them. I think most people tend to like whichever EO they picked up first (I know I like 3 most), because its the one that meant most to them and set what it felt like to play an Etrian Odyssey game. I tend to recommend 4 as the best place to begin...
