Re: Anyone playing first person crpg´s ?
Yup, I talked about Wizardry a few days ago. Etrian Odyssey borrows a skill system similar to the Dark Savant trilogy of games. Upon leveling you'll get a skill point to spend on a variety of abilities. They can increase your effectiveness with a weapon, or unlock new kinds of attacks. Mechanically ...

Re: Games you are playing
Maxine pretty much said it. Momohime's 1st ending is really blah.
Kisuke's story doesn't really start until you meet up with Torahime IIRC. Its definitely a lot better than you would think.

Re: Games you are playing
Chests in Wizardry 7 are more dangerous than any monster. That cheery BGM that plays in the background is almost there as if to mock you as your characters drop dead from Poison Darts or Guardians. Anyway starting party is a Felpurr Psionic (For the Shadow Cloak), Hobbit Mage, Elf Bard (To cheese ea...

Re: Games you are playing
Getting further in Muramasa Rebirth , today I found that there's a level cap at 99. Bleh :( I hope I can make it past this Hell level, but I'm not sure about the rest of the game. The Demon boss at the end I recall being a fairly tough fight. Beyond that though, the last 2 bosses in Momohime's stor...

Re: Games you are playing
Finished my run of Wizardry 8. Ascension Peak was a lot easier than I remember, most of the random mobs that spawned were only weak Scorchers for some reason. The dreaded Souleater was fairly trivial too, Monk knocked him out in one strike and the whole party went to town. I didn't get a single 7th ...

Re: No clue about subclassing
Except I felt it was a tradeoff. In EO3 subclassing was complex but it didn't really matter in postgame. In EO4 they streamlined it, but you could not get away with inefficiencies in postgame. Taking a team subclasses as Runemasters was not going to help you survive. At least that's the way I felt ...

Re: No clue about subclassing
From your party lineup, I'd personally go with: Hoplite/Wildling - For Primal Drums. Binds are nice but its generally better to focus on the Hoplite's main class skills. Ninja is another oft mentioned suggestion for double protection action, but its pretty redundant IMO. Monk/Prince - Gets you the b...

Re: Games you are playing
Giving Wizardry 8 another whirl. My party is a Dwarf Fighter, Mook Ranger, Felpurr Monk, Rawulf Valkyrie, Hobbit Gadgeteer and Faerie Mage. I haven't used a specialized in caster in ages, normally I use a hybrid (Like Samurai) or a Bishop. I'm a little curious to seeing how my Mage develops. She's a...

Re: Games you are playing
Alexander is out, already beaten all 4 parts as well. Certainly not as difficult as Coil, though I would personally place it higher than the CT raids.

Re: Games you are playing
DA2's biggest shortcoming is the fact that game looks and feels very rushed. It has its moments, but generally its a weak game overall. I wouldn't hold it against anyone wanting to play it, its weak but not completely terrible at least. The gameplay is a very different beast from DA:O since its more...

Re: Games you are playing
Yeah Heavensward is really great. Shame my Dreadwyrm gear, Ironworks gear and (more depressingly) Zeta weapon get outclassed by the level 55 dungeon though =/
Bismarck is best primal fight btw
