Re: What I Hope for the Next (?) Etrian Odyssey
Whichever map that is in 3 with the nine-tails looking foe's was my most hated. Oh hey yeah no map for you. B19F? It was big yeah, but I didn't think it was too bad as far as map designs went. The Divine Judges are pretty easy as long as you had either Dark Ether or lots of Amritas to offset the in...

Re: In Need of Skill Point Advice...
^Only if your antis resist, but not outright nullifies or absorbs the attack. The elemental mists can also be used to resist, attacks in such a way that Magibait works beautifully. Actually it works if you absorb it as well, which means it works quite well with the maxed Antielements. They make goo...

You can't guarantee the bats will be rare breeds like the sheep though. Even if the sheep aren't glowing, you can always feed them Gold Stinkhorns to turn them into a rare breed. In general, the overworld FOEs are the best to level up on since you can just feed them to make them rare breeds. Dreamea...

Re: In Need of Skill Point Advice...
Protectors are nice to have around but like Liferake said, they're not necessary until post-game, where they're compulsory against two bosses. That said, in the main game they're pretty average. F. guard is however quite useful to reduce the damage your party takes, and is is extremely helpful again...

Re: In Need of Skill Point Advice...
The good news is Resting has no penalty when you're level 5 or lower so you can reset if you feel your build are off. At any rate Lv 4 Landsknecht - Swords 3/10 - Cleaver 1/10 - Tornado 1/10 Cleaver is garbage. Personally I would go with Axes instead, due to their superior overall damage. Brawn is t...

Re: Guild and Class selection
I would definitely grab Proper Form. As for Pop Flares and Smoke Grenade, they're more useful on a Gladiator using Nine Smashes. If you run a Gladiator sub and plan on using Nine Smashes, I would definitely grab Pop Flares. As for Smoke Grenade... ehhh... I suppose... not too reliable beyond random ...

Re: Guild and Class selection
Monk will be bare-fist and be subbed Zodiac (I don't know yet if I'll go for elementals or Meteor; probably elementals) I'd go for stuff that powers up Breakfire Fist personally (Fire Mastery, Singularity and Etheric Charge). It'll outdamage the stars and will eventually come close to matching (Per...

Re: Dancing with the big three
Somehow the class is considered spoiler but their skills are not? What about if we call that "???" like the JP site does? Just came to my mind, does abbreviated really counted as spoiler too? If so, I can't remember how many I have seen in the rantage or party advice or questions-on-skill...

Re: Dancing with the big three
So much to learn indeed Q_Q Its not really complicated. Use hide tags if you want to hide small blocks of text like say: You know guys, Imperials are crazy strong with those elemental drives! Use spoiler tags if you want to hide large blocks of text. Example: SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE! OMGGGGGG NOOOOO...

Re: What I Hope for the Next (?) Etrian Odyssey
I loved the overworld, one of my favorite things about EO4. EO3's sailing had more flavor text though, but was more a gimmicky way to access a lot of the optional bosses. I'd actually really love it if they they evolved the overworld to be a lot more like Wizardry 7 or World of Xeen. That would be p...

Re: Dancing with the big three
My tale against our favorite trio of dragons is not quite as exciting as yours. Mines is more like: Arcanist: Alright he's paralyzed! Sniper: BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG Nightseeker: STAB STAB STAB STAB STAB Sniper and Nightseeker: Wheres the next TARGET!?!?!!?!? Or more specifically: Turn 1 - N/A...

Re: Shin SQ rage (and wild speculation) goes here
I think one of the classes has a passive that boost their damage the lower their hp is. Perfect for Hexers and Highlanders right? Its a Dark Hunter skill, they had it in EO1 as well. Revenge Curse deals TEC based damage along with the damage based on the difference between max HP and current HP.......

Re: Shin SQ rage (and wild speculation) goes here
Poor Hexers and Dark Hunters. They're even less useful now :( Wouldn't it have been cool if the Story Mode party had included a H and DH? So much potential for interesting banter :) Don't see how this would hinder Dark Hunters... if anything it would help them since the Gunner's binds can also help...

Re: Games you are playing
Anyone remember Bard's Tale? I'm playing that, and boy, I never thought that bards would be the most useless class in the game, what with the title and all. I'm assuming you're talking about the old DOS game, not that uh... related game that came out in 2004? I've played the third game, hasn't aged...
