@Desktop vs laptop: I've never liked desktops much, since I like the portability of laptops. However, my computer is technically not a laptop but a 'desktop replacement'. It is massive (it has a full size keyboard, complete with numberpad, and is almost as long as it is wide) and weighs a ton (serio...

My copy of Deathsmiles finally arrived today. I had been suspecting I would do poorly due to never having played a danmaku with a gamepad before, but was pleasantly surprised at how fluidly the game controlled. I ended up doing poorly anyway, because I found it impossible to track all the bullets. I...

While you have a point, I still think the code is the most ethical way to do it. I try to support the industry wherever possible. I definately can't afford all the anime/games/merchandise I buy, so I make cuts in other areas, such as only eating one meal a day.

I recently discovered mrloventstein.com completely by accident. After going through his gallery last night, I found these two particularly funny:
http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/5821/56jinx.png

http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/2089/77adrawingforfather.png
I didn’t know I wouldn’t like the anime before I’d watched it. The manga was, and still is, my favourite manga of all time. I know it’s really stupid, but I like it so much that I’ll buy pretty much anything with the Death Note name attached. I bought the anime even though I suspected it wouldn’t do...

Other non-Japanese anime companies do the same thing. And they do that because hardly anybody buys the separate releases. Most people wait for the box set which is cheaper and takes up less shelf space. I usually waited for the collections because they were cheaper, but actively wanting the fat/sli...

This is a couple of years old, but I wasn't really active on any relevant forums at the time (except the Madboards themselves, but I wasn't going to risk having my account banned by ranting about it there) and I got to thinking about it yesterday while I was working, so I'm going to complain about i...

That busy morning of mine ended up becoming a crazily hectic couple of days, so I haven't had the chance to post here for a while. @Argument: Yeah, it wasn't really an argument. @Morrowind: I used to love Morrowind when I was younger, but going back to it more recently I see that the combat just pla...

I started Oblivion with the difficulty slider about 75% of the way up and kept increasing it until it maxed after ~15 hours, so if I walked up to an enemy and just started clicking I'd have been very dead, very quickly. Still not at all complex, but requires a bit more than point & click a bunch...

Well stuff like rotating the camera and movement was pretty obvious, but I still don't see how the combat of Elder Scrolls games is similar to what Cabal's seems to be like. Click on the enemy to target them, press skill key and computer takes over and starts auto-stringing them on the enemy till it...

@Maxine: According to the first page that came up on my Google search, that is about 8am over here and I'm probably going to be pretty busy for most of tomorrow, until late afternoon anyway. Thanks for the offer though. @Scy: Morrowind/Oblivion don't really play anything like this... and I never pla...

...do you have a firewall or anything on? Yes, I have McAfee managing my firewall but I told it to ignore Cabal. Also, before you load the game, go into options and turn the settings down. Unless you got a nice slick computer optimized to the hilt, Cabal runs very sluggish I actually did the opposi...
