Gunner's Ricochet has a higher on-average multiplier than Ronin's Midareba with a comparable wATK and STR so ... yeah. It even has a better type that has more weaknesses/less resistances. My gunner just seems to do a lot less damage. Against most of the 5th Stratum enemies, Midareba was doing 3 hit...

It may very well be that the region-locking is done on a case-by-case basis at the whim of the publisher (i.e., like the 360). Yeah, but if it's like that, then buying a 3DS will be a gamble that any games I want will be region-free. As for the NGP, it isn't region locked as far as I know. I doubt ...

I was considering getting one, until I heard it was going to be region-locked. Given how hard it is to find good games for handhelds in Australia, I usually turn to imports to get my fix. Hell, at least 80% of my good DS and PSP games are imports. All I can say is Sony better not pull this kind of c...

Spent a while today getting through the 5th Stratum of EOII. I have also been playing a bit of Neverland Card Battles over the last few days. I love how, unlike most other SRPGs I've played, you actually need to use a lot of strategy and you can't just overwhelm the opponent with brute force, since ...

Well, I'm up to 27F now and most of the 5th Stratum lagged horribly; sometimes turning took about 2 seconds. The game is actually easier but still provides a strong challenge. In my opinion, at least with my party, it is way harder than the first one ever was. They are so damn fragile... most FOEs o...

Ellimist chronicles takes place long before the main series though, actually, I think all of the "chronicles" installments did. The Chronicles books are set before the main series, but the information they reveal cannot be fully appreciated if the reader hasn't read certain books from the...

The Chronicles books are (or at least were back then) generally considered to be the best books in the series. From memory, my personal favourite was The Hork-Bajir Chronicles, even though the cover art is really weird. Though in saying that, I haven't read the Ellimist Chronicles (which is supposed...

I used to love the Animorph books when I was a kid, but I never finished the series because I couldn't find some of the books. I recently got my hands on them and now I have all 65 books, so over the past few weeks I've read books #1 through #13. I re-read The Andalite Chronicles yesterday (I've dec...

Here's the trailer: Looks OK, but feels much slower than Armored Core should be. And am I crazy or are those ACs much smaller than they should be? The main component of the game is online play Aw, crapnuggets. I never play games...

I just ordered the Tegami Bachi OST here . I also got the Hatenaki Michi Limited Edition CD. I plan on starting to watch Tegami Bachi REVERSE tonight and hopefully it will explain early on what the hell the deal is with [hide]"Noir" and Roda. I can guess with Gauche but I want to know why ...

That reminds me, I should probably get back to EOII as well. I got up to the fifth stratum, but due to the crazy heat I haven't been bothered to play any RPGs lately. Most of the little gaming I've been doing has been screwing around in Bangai-O Spirits. It's easy, I don't have to think much or reac...

I just finished watching Tegami Bachi, and was pleasantly surprised in a big way. I had actually watched the first episode for the lolz after reading a synopsis of the series. I was thinking something along the lines of "an anime about postmen, lol wtf". However, to my surprise, it was rea...
