Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar
A lot of people think "looking nice" is fluff and "does it work" is functionality. And functionality is worth money, but fluff is a luxury expense, you'd only do that if you've get extra money lying around, etc. Especially because these people don't actually understand advertisin...

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar
A lot of people are ignorant of why design matters / have godawful design taste. Half my family is graphic/web designers, so I get to hear that rant a lot. In other news, getting run over by a large car in a dream and then surviving for about two minutes with a broken head is pretty bad. I hate myse...

Re: So, any thoughts on dlc?
It's entirely possible there's some cut content on the ROM that they're accessing, but, to harken back to the olden days, the ROM data for the original Super Mario Bros. occupied less data space than most screenshots. Considering most QR code quests don't have to define a host of new programs and as...

Re: So, any thoughts on dlc?
My guess is that it's compressed. Shouldn't be too hard to prepare a simple compression of their inputs, especially if the decoding key is built into the game itself. Doubles as a kind of encryption, too!
On the upshot- if someone does eventually crack it, we'll get custom quests, maybe.

Re: So, any thoughts on dlc?
For the quests I doubt it's unlocking features, so much as giving parameters to a function in the game that spits out quests. Probably something like "quest type, objectives, description, name" or the like- hence, within the same scale as a guild card.

Woke up with stomach cramps, a bloated feeling, and nausea. It more or less settled down after about two and a half hours of alternative hunched over in a bathroom and walking around in the fresh air.

Re: So, any thoughts on dlc?
Considering the amount of data stored in a QR code is normally something as small as a URL, I'd be pretty shocked if they could do much more.

Re: Subclass/Party Comp Suggestions!
As for Luck accessories, I've found enough via forging my weapons with the Luck hammer and the armor that comes with Luck on it. I do favor a Nightseeker over an Arcanist though, not sure if the difference in chance of effect is that big.

Re: EOIV Rantage!!
Anyway, Bushi's blood surge is not safe. It can and will kill you if you're low on HP, BUT it doesn't check for death until it finishes the calculations for a single attack, meaning that Ferocity does heal you before you'd die. The only problem is that if your Blood Surge is doing more damage than F...

Re: Going below the standard 5 man parties
In EOIII, you could one-man most of the game with an Yggdroid subclassed into something else, if you were patient. In EOIV, it's looking like Fortress/Bushi might be the go-to, for incredible durability and a good dose of self-recovery. Of course, some enemies will just generally take you out, but s...

Re: EOIV Rantage!!
Yeah, I was really happy when I realized stun doesn't replace a status. Don't think it counts for triggering Nightseeker expertise though, which is a damn shame. Also, about getting ninja'd between hits: you can do it to yourself. If you're at ~60 or less HP when you make the first swing, the net lo...

Unless you have really good attack, yeah, I'm noticing that. It works at level 40.

Re: EOIV Rantage!!
I think I actually discovered the most terrifying combo but I'm not 100% sure.Bushi/Nightseeker death machine- ⋅ Priority: Max Power Boost, Blood Surge, Surge Mastery, Ferocity, Defiance, and Blade Flurry. (Works at level 41, if you've Rested or saved skill points) ⋅ Secondary: M...

Re: Character/Party Build Ideas?
Subbing a medic into Runemaster is just as effective as it sounds, actually, granting them another boost to max TP, and also Free Energy. Even at half ranks, my medic is usually the last person to run out of TP. This might also be because my front line has a truly staggering amount of passive healin...
