Started playing Bit.Trip Runner in my spare time. It's probably the oddest embodiment of a rhythm game I've seen in a while.
Also, really addictive.

Re: What do you eat?
I've been eating a lot of almonds, lately. They make a good snack.

Re: Dream land
Last night was boring. Something about typing up spreadsheets of historical documents in exchange for an old foreign coin collection, a girl waxing philosophical over some kind of military radio thing, a windows update systematically deleting half my files, and then sitting around in a filled kiddy ...

Re: Dream land
^ Shapeshifters in the water are traditionally caught in nets. :3 I didn't HAVE a net! I had a magical shortsword and a long stick! Also, pretty sure Jesse James's guns were magical too. Which is why I hate not getting them. [EDIT] Using inspirational fortune cookies to learn new techniques/spells ...

Re: Dream land
Updated with the second part, which was a prequel/sidestory that showed up afterward.

Re: Dream land
Last night's dream had a world war... on a heavily terraformed Mars, and it involved sci-fi tech levels and supernatural, or often downright magical, powers. Dream the first: The enemy was allied with the Martian equivalent of Dryads (according to the dream), which are a kind of hive-mind cr...

Re: Dream land
I've adopted the "stupidly tough vermin" view of vampires in general, but I get the idea. ...It has come in the form of becoming an orphaned millionaire who breaks into company headquarters and fights security guard power rangers for the sake of the girl who originally cut off his legs tho...

Re: Dream land
I remember exactly one dream in which I somehow ended up romantically attached to an assassin. It was one of the first few I remembered, and it involved the building uh, pretty much exploding into a blazing inferno. It is also the only dream I can remember having kissed in. I wonder if this is good ...

Re: Dream land
Dying and feeling pain in dreams doesn't wake me up anymore. I'm got enough of a narrative going on that "death" can be represented any number of ways, as can pain.
For example, jumping into a different character's perspective the instant I die.

Re: Dream land
Fundamentally, dreams are a memory sort/defragment that goes on while you sleep, being run across your brain without much reason. Pieces that are related get parsed together sometimes, making it look a bit more coherent. Of course, because we have imaginations and the like, random concepts thrown to...

Re: Dream land
And the trick to that is a mix of trying to remember your dream the instant you wake up, and getting woken up mid-dream.
You've only got a few minutes where it's all there before it starts draining out, the best thing to do is try and burn as many pictures into your head as possible.

Re: Dream land
I mean, in the dream I apparently had a 5-person party, but it was top-down tiled with "run into them" based combat. All I know was I captured a lizardman and gave him a wizard subclass, and then was run over by a space-car and had to break out of the dungeon's... dungeon, apparently. Also...

Re: Dream land
You are the third person to tell me this. Don't think I haven't seriously considered it.
Though, not sure how "roguelike" and "EO style party" are supposed to work together.

Re: Dream land
Real time etrian odyssey roguelike with disgaea-style monster capture and recruiting, plus subclassing. This is a fair assessment of my dream. Monsters being captured and given subclasses to fill in party slots alongside normal, human classes. A multi-segmented worm-dragon boss. A screen filling hov...
