I think the biggest newcomer trap is the Spy class. The Spy can disguise as teammates and mix in with the ranks. Though there are some obvious ways of telling who a Spy is. Teammates can never directly harm each other, so if you shoot a teammate and they turn colour and die, it was a Spy. Similarly...
