Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads

Wow. I wouldn't have read it if I'd known that.
Now I'm vaguely curious what goes on before and after that book.

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads

Iain Banks.. I read his Excession once. Is that part of the same series? It was pretty good SF.

Re: Music you're listening to atm?

I downloaded Kalafina's Red Moon and Capsule's Player albums today. Red Moon goes on the to-buy list, as expected, but I'm a little disappoint with Player . Most of it is quite meh, with occasionally some mwah-okay-but-not-exciting, and at least two instances of blergh. That I'm not going to buy.

Re: What anime are you currently watching?

I just watched the Eye Opening chapter (Meakashi-hen) of Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni.. *deep breath* I'm definitely going to watch something brain-bleachy after I finish Higurashi.

Re: Games you are playing

Did you know that you only get to fight it if you have turned off Cyborg mode for battles? Otherwise it just skips that battle and goes straight to the ending cutscenes. The makers of the game probably found it too hard to program the AI (which is otherwise pretty good) to deal with multiple targets.

Re: Games you are playing

I've been playing The Ur-Quan Masters again (in addition to FF6). So much humor in this game, so much details to discover everywhere. It's not without flaws (it's quite male-centric, and some of the aliens are clearly cultural stereotypes), but still.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread

Don't trust the Google translator when making purchasing decisions. It once translated the Chinese term for 'bilingual' as 'has English subtitles', when of course the phrase meant that the DVD had Chinese and Japanese audio tracks. If Google had just used a literal translation, I'd have understood t...
