I'm a little envious of all the people growing up with family who play games with them. I was always the only one using the PC. Well, there was one time when I played Popcorn (French Breakout clone) with my sister and dad, but that happened only once.

My first gaming I did on a PC (XT/8088, in 1988). Some simple text mode games in Basic, King's Quest 3, Leisure Suit Larry 1. They helped me learn English. My first non-PC games were emulated SNES ones, around 2005/6. My first handheld (a DSlite) I got in 2007.

Math is probably awesome somewhere. Unfortunately, to grasp that awesomeness, one needs a lot of mathematical education. Basic math is bleh, and advanced math is just headache.
