Adding 'nomodeset' to the kernel options not only made the radeon driver not crash, but now it does both direct rendering (GL) and Xv acceleration. Hurry up 17:30, so I can start watching anime again :)

I miss my anime :(

The fglrx driver for Xorg doesn't work, and the radeon driver doesn't do GL (3D) nor Xv (2D video) acceleration. And plain X11 is too slow to watch video on, even without maximizing. Why does this stupid thing have to break at every upgrade?
