Huh? I completely missed that you can change characters' classes in EOU Story Mode. I tried that once, it didn't work, I never visited the Explorers Guild again.

I agree that in general Story Mode was a bad idea. One of the most loved aspects of the EO series is creating your own guilds and making up stories as they explore the labyrinths. Forcing a fixed team removes that, making people who loved the series before EOU dislike it. The additional lore is nice...
