People really rate Mononoke, but for me, it's not his best work. I really like Laputa, Howl's and love From Up on Poppy Hill (Miyazaki wrote the screenplay).

Short week this week as Monday was a bank holiday. Always good .

So good right? I loved Avatar and Korea I've enjoyed for the most part, it's a shame that they're shorter seasons as there's so much more room with 20 episodes to flesh characters out and reveal more if the world. Still a great season though.

I've just finished Getting On, which was funny and dark.

From my viewpoint it's just such a meh way of raising money, it's the entire celeb/attention wanting culture of today. Granted it's effective, but it doesn't stop a distaste from developing for me.

Wolf Children and The Grand Budapest Hotel. Haven't seen the first and I loved Budapest Hotel when I saw it at the cinema.

ALS ice bucket awareness can fuck off. Just do the decent thing and donate, if you want, and stop attention seeking. I have much hate for attention seeking awareness, stay classy people.

As for Kill la Kill, I'm not sure why people avoid it solely because of fanservice. It's got a decent plot and great characters, and that's what matters to me. Over the years, I've watched a lot of anime and a lot of very good anime, so my patience for fanservice is very limited. The only exception...

Kill La Kill just didn't capture me, the first episode wasn't that good and a fair amount of fanservice, which puts me off too.

Completed the first season of White Collar on Netflix which was good, but not amazing.

Also completed the third season of Korra, which was out of this world good.

Kill La Kill and MAR are two series that I just couldn't get along with. Kill La Kill was a mix of the art style, which didn't appeal to me and poor subtitles on Netflix.
