Re: Forum Rules! All members are required to read!
Max isn't calling you a troll Garrett, but we have rules regarding trolling, which normally covers language and attacking people. In general there's no harm in the odd swear word here, except in the debate board - unless specifically about swearing, but it's about keeping language and yourself at an...

Re: "Don't use that word!"
No it doesn't. You may all think I'm full of it and I'll take the collective opinion into account.

Re: Sexism Against Men
Firstly, unless the discussion is directly around the word fag, faggot, cunt, dick, cock or whatever else, please don't swear - even for emphasis. Ultimately if it offends people it's not a great place to be and the debate board should be the most mature part of the forum, not the least. Whilst I'm ...

Re: Sexism Against Men
The problem with stereotypes - which exist for a reason, is that they tend to lead to discrimination when questioned. Even the above baking example shows discrimination, even if it was minor and not meant in an offensive way.

Re: Sexism Against Men
Equally speaking, some of the historical things that men have been able to do, that women haven't been able to do also extend to more than just the gender based roles but also class based. Outside of that, in many countries (including England) up until recently it was illegal to be gay and the law o...

Re: ¡Día de Muertos!
When I was in New York about 6 years ago I aksed for a cup of tea and it was hot water from a tap. I was very disappointed.
A tap is anything where the water hasn't been able to boil at over 100C. Boiling water from a hot water urn is fine.

Re: Sexism Against Men
I've missed out on a lot because I forgot this thread existed. Plastic smile is saying we're fake. Also an old persom calling someone a nigger or a golly wog is offensive even though it was acceptable for them in their time. Discrimination against men is the social convention now - hence why male an...

Standard basic is still helpful and can lead to vbs which we use on a corporate scale for login scripts and the like

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar
What like dick, knob, cock or bellend? Socially acceptable.
Regardless I do agree that it's best to try and have a comfortable environment for all, especially as we're normally a very happy community.

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar
Garrett - if you've got an agreement with Reynard please remember it. I'm not saying don't swear as I'm an advocate for using the full breadth of the English language unsavoury, archaic and otherwise. It is a very strong word and for some unknown reason is still socially unacceptable in most cases. ...

Actually I wouldn't say that's a yes or no answer. It's on a scale.

Re: Happy nasal congestion day!
If you get twinings tea it's called breakfast, or if you get Tetley or PG Tips is good. Boiled water, not hot water from a tap.

Re: Happy nasal congestion day!
Builder's tea is just normal tea. I guess black, with milk so that it's an orangey colour with two or three sugars.
