Icons
I know that the icons are a little, erm, wrong. I accidently broke them earlier today and am waiting on Maxine to fix them as I don't have a copy of the files.

Re: What do you do for a living anyways?
I learned what 'quid' meant by reading the Indian in the Cupboard. It was set in England, and Omri talked about spending quid on things. I learned most things out of books, which led to a confusing life where my Oklahoma upbringing did not match the upbringings of the children I read about so then ...

Got a cold - in August, in 25C+ heat. This should be impossible. Summers in England are normally like 21C on a good day. Not happy.

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
@Max - in regards to Rowling, the fact of the matter is, she's a well known and respected author. Not only that, she's created a world that is in fact well written - it's not Dickens, but then it's not meant to be. I seriously think people forget that she's not only a mass consumer author, but that ...

Re: Spam Bots?
Our security measures are fine in terms of captcha and stopping "normal" spam; however, we're never effectively going to be able to stop human spam. Even if we added a captcha or a security question to every single post. We have to be realistic, if someone wants to spam - they will. It's n...

1) Captcha has been broken - http://www.hackaday.com/captcha-bot-beats-new-are-you-a-human-playthru-game 2) Captcha won't prevent human registrations 3) I've not upset anyone - don't know if Max has 4) The spammers are all originating from China and Russia - where "human" spam is big busin...

Re: Spam Bots?
I've reviewed and I think that it's fine. I've added some more questions so hopefully that'll help keep people at bay.
I'm not going to introduce a captcha for people under 10 posts or anything like that as if the captcha is comprimised it won't help and if it's a human, well that won't help either.

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
People like to bitch and moan that J K Rowling is a crap writer and that she either plagarises everything or just can't write, but I think she's great. I've started reading the Cucco's Calling and whilst I'm only at chapter 5 it's a very engaging and interesting read. The adult themes of the Casual ...

Re: Spam Bots?
To be fair it may not be a bot but a person employed to copypasta stuff. Our captcha isn't actually a real captcha but a randomised security question, so it cycles through 3 or 4 questions like what's 1 + 3. This means that if captcha is comrpimised (which it has been) we're usually safer as it's no...

Except we use phpBB and not vBulletin. Sadly we don't have the ability for dynamic tags or effective wild cards.

Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)
Personally I thought Man of Steel was pretty good. I was glad that they didn't just focus on Superman and had a lot of other information floating around top. In fact, I liked the other characters me backstory more than Superman and the rest of th story/film. I'm currently watching The Returned, whic...

That bbcode supplied will stop the long links from working and kill all existing videos frok working too. The custom BBCode is very basic and doesn't allow for IF statements or anything that's not basic.
We may need to find or make a mod for it Max.

So long as it's in the NSFW section if it's that gorey, is hidden behind spoiler tags and is in line with US and UK law it's fine. If there is a problem, we'll make some rule up.
