Re: PnP RPG Thread

I'm pretty sure you use yours and your horse uses its. You do count as being in all 4 of its squares, though. (Doesn't affect AC, but worth noting.)

Re: PnP RPG Thread

Honestly? The PDF is probably typo'd. Or they phrased it very poorly. Every other 3.5 (and 3rd) class I've ever seen was x4. The way that max skill ranks works even assumes that you get x4 at first level. I really don't know why the core didn't just say, "You get 4 times the normal skill points...

Re: PnP RPG Thread

In 3.5, you get (#+Int)x4 at first level. I'm positive of that. Being human is an effective +1 Int mod for the purpose of skill points. You and my GM probably got the name from the same source then. XD edit: Going through your link, I found this. Class Skills (4 + Int modifier per level, ×4 at 1st l...

Re: PnP RPG Thread

I'm pretty sure you did some math wrong. Your skill points should be divisible by 4. (Actually 5, unless the x3 at first level is a house rule, which my previous sentence assumes.) 36 points, to be precise. Oratory. Bucephalus is actually the name of a villian's horse in a superhero campaign I play ...

Re: Etrian Odyssey IV Skill Simulator Update

Natbuk hypothesized that Assassin was. And if he's right, then oh god is he right. They've also got elemental/non-attribute damage, and some skill support for it too, so Rune Master looks like a decent choice. Swordsman MIGHT be, for the same reason. Fortress would certainly be thematic.

Re: Etrian Odyssey IV Skill Simulator Update

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't an ailment zone always fail if they already have an ailment on them? If I'm right, then having the skill succeed on the first turn would give you 3 turns of TP Return. That feels wrong, though. Any idea if TP Return activates for each enemy you fail to inflict? ...
