Oh, and by the way: resting when you're under level 6 doesn't reduce your level. That helped me out a lot when I started EO3.

No. Finagle's Law was created so that people would stop improperly using Murphy's Law.
Paraphrasing the two:
Finagle's Law: If something can go wrong, it probably will.
