Re: Guild and Class selection
I really don't think it's as easy as you make out to kill trash mobs, especially if you're starting out on a new strata, or you're monk keeps dying all the time, like mine does. Was going to reply, but then I read this. To me it sounds more like your party just isn't very well-built, based on the f...

Re: EOIII Questions thread
The fish quest isn't available until B4F, so it'll be just a little longer until I can access it. Also, AoE is a terrible strategy for it if you just want to kill the Fanged Fish so the Devilfish can spawn more. I have been doing the available quests, though. Sorry, I made a bad assumption. Since y...

Re: EOIII Questions thread
Is there a convenient way to grind in this game before Lv15~ish? Not really. Have you been doing quests? They give xp in this one. The fish quest on that floor is pretty good if you try and go for 1st prize, lots of incidental grinding. As long as you have up-to-date gear, some sort of aoe and some...

Re: Guild and Class selection
Whew, I've been typing a lot. Hope I don't sound too dickish as I tend to do that the more I type. The TL;DR for what's below is: "You can consider Attack Order a 437% dpr attack (45% of your 2 attackers' ~486% attacks added together), blowing the 80% off RR or the 130 from AN out of the water....

Re: Guild and Class selection
Speaking of buffs and debuffs, wouldn't having a Prince using Orders and a Hoplite using Antis add up to way too many buffs, considering how I plan on using Berserker Vow/Charge on my Gladiator and Etheric Charge on my Zodiac? Nope, neither charge nor etheric charge take up buff slots. Nothing that...

Re: Guild and Class selection
Z/A would just be for a reliable source of elemental damage. I can't really think of much that would be useful in the empty slot except maybe a non-Bunshin Ninja, but a Zodiac sounds much more useful. Zodiac's a good fit for the slot, I was pointing more towards the subclass. At any rate, if you wa...

Re: Guild and Class selection
I might try that one for postgame. It sounds like fun. It's pretty fun until you get ambushed or the enemy moves faster than you. Endure gives you a 80% chance to not get 1shot though, which is very useful. I use it, 's good! I've never sat down and done the math, but I wonder if a ninja sub might ...

Re: Guild and Class selection
I'm planning on benching/retiring the Princess if there's not much I can do with her, and just sub the Monk into a backrow Prince. That opens up more choices if you want to stick with the other 4 party members. As for the other ones, G/A or G/S, H/N, and frontline A/G seem to be the options I like ...

Re: Guild and Class selection
it's still the same. Oh. Okay then! I'm just trying to learn what options are good ideas so I don't have to waste my time on it later. First off, There's no reason I can think of to have both a m/p and a p/n. That's effectively 3 princes, only 1 of which is a capable healer. They are good for: 1) H...

Re: Guild and Class selection
That answers a bunch. No problem, I'll try to be more clear in the future. Would a N/P be good if I decide against having a H/N? I'd say almost certainly no. H/N is a great use for a ninja sub, but if you're not going to use that, your next best bet is a damage-dealing class that can be used off of...

Re: Guild and Class selection
My question isn't answered. I wasn't the one who suggested it was even worth taking to begin with though, just thought I'd drop my opinion in. I thought that pointing out its general mediocrity by way of implying that it ISN'T better in any way was as good as directly answering "no, it sucks.&...

Re: Guild and Class selection
Also, why is Regal Radiance better than Ad Nihilo? Some people think it's a good source of damage. It isn't. Even if you're using it to just deal with elemental weaknesses, forging or barrages or whatever can usually do the job for far less skill points and without wasting your healer/buffer's turn...

Re: In Need of Skill Point Advice...
Actually it works if you absorb it as well, which means it works quite well with the maxed Antielements. I thought as much, but I tend to talk out my... tush... a lot so I wasn't going to press on the subject. Like, I vaguely remembered using it on the dragons a whole bunch. Airwalk and Baitstep wo...
