Yep. Been a thing since they were brought to my attention. It is a collaboration between artists from Japan, America and Canada. It is nice to know catalog purchases count towards store upgrades. I must have long overkilled the necessary revenue quota by now. After my next Gracie visit this week, I have only to wait for the month's end to finally have the last store upgrade. ^~^

First time these characters have been shown on the 3DS. Sakurai-san notes that the character borders can be made thicker or removed entirely if the player so pleases.
