Re: Why Are You Happy Today?

Well let's see... it was very flat. Had a blackish grey exterior and a rather balanced physique (no predominant abdomen). The wings were a generic dirty brown, though.

Re: Dream land

Summary: "Hey. I haven't seen you since we were coworkers way back when. Funny I should meet you on this time-travelling tour bus. Let's go rollerblading in 1800s London together." I should mention it was kind of like, a time freeze (everything around us was sort of sepia tone) and no one ...

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar

And no guide on the internet is giving me a simple way to change it back, so now I have to go to work in a disgruntled mood. Yes. After wrestling with mine for a while I somehow ended up with ...

Re: Is AC: New Leaf reinforcing outdated stereotypes?

I don't think your post is unreasonable. The whole "I should be more affected by this than you but I'm not so it's not a big deal" thing is certainly something I disagree with. By that token I should never fight for gender or racial or class rights as I have because they don't affect me. B...

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. :/

Chin up, friend. It is going to be a bumpy road so the best we can do is try to keep the ride together.

Re: Is AC: New Leaf reinforcing outdated stereotypes?

To be fair, the villager is "white" as far as Mario is "italian". He is human as far as Tom Nook is raccoon or Pudge is a bear. The humans of Animal Crossing aren't really like... Caucasian. They have human characteristics like a face, hands, feet, clothing... but even if you put...

Re: Is AC: New Leaf reinforcing outdated stereotypes?

Alright, now that is out of the way: I don't really see verbal ticks being worthy of note since it is a generic mannerism that the villager would use regardless of gender. Now, if you want something that is actually modified by gender, it would be the "smug" (ボク) personality, which was add...

Re: Is AC: New Leaf reinforcing outdated stereotypes?

Wait, huh? My male character has never been hit on by female villagers. o.o That is why it was a problem to begin with.
