Yeah the "oh no "death" thing is my idea of TOO MUCH - which you can see by my age group captions - consequences with death. As long as it's just one or two and it's not done violently.

I think there are things that children just don't need to be exposed to. -_-; Sorry... I think a lot of people DO carry it to extremes. I did pick up my first romantic book when I was 12 years old. I DID say my age range wasn't an exact science, but it's things I keep in mind when writing. Though, i...

XD I LOVED the second one.

This is my type of humor: http://applegeeks.com/ <-- particularly the LITEs below the main comic.

*nods* No, no insult. I am American (middle class even) ~_^ and I think some of the stuff you listed IS too edgy for their age groups. So both of our points stick.

Harry Potter 1-3 falls in my Children's group.

4-6, younger teens

7 - OLDER teens.
WAY WAY WAY too many deaths and no justification for it aside from "this is war".
BTW, I typically write for the younger teens. :3

This is the best way that I keep age groups in mind while I'm writing and going for a target (Edit: the ages I posted here are only "best conclusion" and are kinda fuzzy, but, you get the idea. It's not an exact science.): Children's - ages 10- Keep it simple, not too intense, and fun and ...

Hehe, oh are we doing firsts now? My first anime, that I'm aware of, is Kiki's Delivery Service. However, official "so this is called... anime" moment was when I was moving into my house in Connecticut. While doing so, we popped the tv in to see if our cable was working yet and then my par...

No, I'm not trying to put down your tastes, it's just... not something I appreciated. :\ Not that I'm bothered enough to get angry about, just that it's like "what a horrid thing to say!" But not really rant-inciting.

I disagree Teclo. Books 1-3 were for kids. books 4-7 were younger teens. The content of 4-7 was for a much higher understanding. It dealt with death and prejuidice and taking down/killing a higher power, apart from dealing with whether or not Harry is going to continue making good grades, avoiding D...

THAT one was explained, but it's between me and the person who explained it. It was a ... separate event that we don't have to worry about.
