Re: School!
Signed up for my classes. I'm slightly sad, though, 'cause one of the classes I was looking forward to is no longer being offered. Was replaced with PHP but I think PHP was definitely more desirable for a LOT of students. *shrugs* Oh well. Looking on the bright side: one less class I have to worry a...

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
@Trifkin: You didn't mention that particular series but you did mention Tamora Pierce. :3 She's already on my list. I'll put that series as my first to read whenever I get around to her.

Jubelon, sounds like you just need to start a bunch of random writing exercises for yourself. Just open up a document and begin typing away. It is nothing something that you will ever plan on releasing to anyone. You don't even have to save it. Just ... write. See what comes out. Doesn't have to be ...

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
You should definitely read Artemis Fowl. The first book is highly recommended. The next books in the series didn't quite reach up to the first one, but they are still good - for one basic reason. :3 You just dunno WHO the hell you want to root for. Read it, it's serious fun. One of the best and wors...

O_O IS KINO... PRE-
No, I'll stop the joke right there because it's pretty crappy, but for some reason, that's the first thing that jumped into my head. ^_^
Designated driver? Or just don't drink?

Re: General Writing
speaking of choose-your-own adventure... I've always been tempted to write a piece and put it on the internet (links instead of pages... DUH!)... *sigh* <_< would be fun but I've got more important things on my plate to worry about than something like that.

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
Hrrrm... that's a pity. Maybe I should be afraid about what I'm getting myself into. However, I AM slightly interested in the subject. I dunno. We'll see when I reach the book, I guess. But also: SHIPS!!! (I have mentioned that I AM mildly interested in seafaring life? And is one of the reasons that...

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
? Really? I remember reading the first few chapters when I was in middle school and I recall that I was enjoying it immensely. Especially the part where Ishmael wakes up with an unexpected guest in his bed in an unexpected way. :3 But I am starting with Count of Monte Cristo first. I've only seen sn...

In other news... went to barnes and noble to do some reading today while my mom went around shopping. Realized o_o they had a buy 2 get 1 free sale on classic literature. <_<;; saaaallllleeeee...... Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
"urban fantasy" I don't think I've ever read any to be honest. Not for lack of interest but just that my interest hasn't taken me there yet. I like stuff with wit and humor. If it has a lot of politics crap, forget it, I'm not going to enjoy it. I also like things to have a new and interes...

Re: Rant/Complain Thread: QQ moar
Sometimes I get drunk, and being a history student, this often causes fits of rage about how poorly remembered some things are. I'm beginning to think that this forum has more history students than writers. Is no one into philosophy or psychology ;__; <_< How lost do you think I feel? I just like a...

Re: Etrian odyssey wikia
(Not that anyone updates the main site these days) (Ask Atlus #2) Not to mention the threat of viruses on the main page. Did we ever get that cleared up? Of course we did! :P And Archaic is even in the process of nearly getting the gallery back in operation. Soon I will once again be able to fix th...

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
First Heroes one? You mean Heroes of Olympus? You didn't think it was very good o_O; I thought it was spectacular. I was drooling the whole way through it. :3 Started reading Ranger's Apprentice first. The ... prologue felt... "off" but was still fun. I suspect it was just me not expecting...
