Also, with my own limited javascript knowledge I just fixed the hide tag so that one click reveals text as it did before and doubclick hides it again. I can't remember if that's the way it was set up previously or not, but I suppose it's good enough?

It's not the same thing, but then again it does the same thing. For past posts you will have to "edit" the post in order for it to work (just FYI).
