Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads

Oddly, I'd say Game of Thrones. Unbiasedly I'd probably remark it as one of the weakest entries overall but it was also my first time really giving a "fantasy" story a shot as I fucking loathe high fantasy so it stands out to me for that. It does a damn good job of starting up the story, t...

Re: Games you are playing

For what it's worth, if the original Agarest War reviews turn you off from it, Zero is more of the same. It improves on things, sure, but it's still at it's core a pseudo-dating sim SRPG.

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads

@1st to Die - Yeah, it's a rather shallow read that if you hinge too hard on what is said and some of the circumstances of it that you'll end up not enjoying it. I think that's part of the reason all his books are written with such a brisk pace and short chapter lengths; so that you're keeping the p...

Re: Games you are playing

Agarest War, in general, aren't bad. They pander a lot but the combat is rather interesting in them (personally). It's in the "worth a try" category, honestly, but if you're that much on the fence and would rather have your money back, I can't necessarily fault you for just returning it ra...

Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)

I'll be honest, I watched Dollhouse for Eliza Dushku.

And then stopped watching it because of Eliza Dushku.

Staff cred only goes so far; it can make me perk my head up and look your direction but it won't save your show in the end.

Re: What anime are you currently watching?

Except I don't understand that Pengudrum comment. For what it's worth, I don't entirely either. I haven't seen episode 4 yet but I found the other 3 to be spot on. Episode 1 - typical response picture, though I'm surprised the hat wasn't shopped in. Episode 2 - reaction guys underneath his house, a...

Mayo Chiki 4 I told myself I wasn't going to be doing ItL blog posts anymore so I can watch without mass screencaps. I got 15 seconds in before this happened: http://www.abload.de/img/whynotmayochiki-04e42foeia.jpg fffffffffff.... Subaru-nyan. http://www.abload.de/img/whynotmayochiki-04e42fqkx9.jpg...

Re: Class Build Suggestions

There's probably one somewhere. There's one on my Warrior's Might group but there's not much about other groups because ... the general build is good enough, y'know? Like, Arbalist/Gladiator is Front Mortar, Giant Kill, Charge, Berserker's Vow. Everything else is superfluous. Monk/Prince(ss) is Mona...

Re: Class Build Suggestions

Complete builds for every class? Eh ... none, really. There's a few classes that tend to just not be used very often. Your best bet may be some other posts done for general group advice: http://www.intothelabyrinth.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1485 http://www.intothelabyrinth.net/forums/viewt...

xD Such torture! It's just so satisfying to pop them, one by one... sometimes several at once. Have you ever tried stepping on bubble wrap? It sounds like... a FIREFIIIGHT! D : When I bought my TV, or something I don't really remember what it was but that's irrelevant, it had some huge sheets of bu...

Re: What anime are you currently watching?

And (Summer) 2009 is after K-On aired (Spring 2009), hence my point. GA banked itself on it being a moeblob 4-koma adaptation, much like K-On and other shows since then. Though, to be fair, if not for K-On the season right before it it probably would have been more of a "so a newer Hidamari Ske...

Re: What anime are you currently watching?

None of those are quite like K-On, though, outside of slice of life stuff. I'm thinking of GA whatever-it-was that Art K-On and other "so basically K-On but X club instead" that started popping up. Slice of life has always been around but the style has shifted more towards what K-On brough...
