If you have a University e-mail account, you can still qualify for one free year of Amazon Prime. Free two-day shipping, hooray! But as for those two titles, there's nothing wrong with them. I prefer the PS2 version of Okami vs waggle and I like the art in the PS2 version better but it's 99% prefere...

...and the currently 2-4 month collected volume release schedule has proven to be the most consistent and profitable. It really has, though I'd contend it'd possibly be more profitable in a smaller window since there's quite possibly many people like Kimiko who just want it in a one-and-done fashio...

Not once have I ever thought of you as the victim through this entire ordeal. I think you're even less of the victim after that last post. You may want to take that into consideration. You're coming off rather self-centered. You broke your toys and now you're angry they're broken. You're focusing to...

This is a boldface lie. 25% of $10 is about half of the average royalty from the average hardcover sale. Sure the percentage might be greater, but the overall cost is lower. It's actually closer to 65%-70%, not half ($3.5-$4 is typical royalty range, some higher depending on rockstar status). We ca...

They want to have plenty of time to release the book, market it, distribute it, receive net invoices, deal with return credits, etc. before releasing the next. Fastest release table I've seen is every-other-month -- I believe this is more common for series which have a lot already released in Japan...

I slip into that gaming example because it was pertinent; The Witcher 2 is available digitally in a format where the creators get 100% of the proceeds. There is no middle-man. The digital book market could learn a lot from the digital gaming market; Steam takes a cut (under 30%, if I recall), sure, ...

Really? Why do they go so slow? Honestly? I don't know. I'm thinking it's to parallel actual release schedules like in Japan but who knows. I've seen solo scanlation projects go by at a faster pace. Would my pre-ordering help things, or make no difference? I'd prefer to buy a complete series at onc...

How soon do you think the translated volumes will be published? Will it take months or years? I honestly have no idea who FantaGraphics is but, based off their other releases I'd say ... oh, wait, these are their first forays into it. Oh ... oh boy. The release schedule I'm familiar with is a few v...
