Why would you get all that maxed out on every character? Ikkitousen requires a single weapon (rather, the off-hand weapon doesn't help) and character and multiple Ikkitousen's don't stack. I do have a full-out damage group from my JP file (3x Shogun/Pirate, 1x Ballista/Shogun, 1x Monk/Princess so th...

Oddly, it took me longer than I expected since, you know, I've already done it before. Hell, I was a higher level this time around than my first time and I didn't even kill all the FoEs >> I may end up close to level 30 for the 2nd Stratum boss and I'm just rushing through, though I'm still doing al...

Calling it now; Scy will be posting about defeating the game in under a week and by that I mean tomorrow as in 4 hours from now I have work so doubtful on "by tomorrow." I should have the 2nd Stratum done by then though (if not tonight, actually). 1st Stratum took me from about the time o...

I think I beat the 5th Stratum around my 50s with zero deaths on the boss fight and it taking all of like 4 turns. Thanks double Meteor and Ikkitousen ridiculousness.

On that note, finally have a working DS so I may actually be able to play soon. Huzzah.

Force Skills are also way more broken. Arguably, Limits can potentially do more overall but nothing as ridiculous as "Null All Damage" or "Stop All Attacks" like in EO2. As for ranking them, it's basically EO3 > EO2 > EO1 for me without much thought. The gameplay basically just i...

I don't really see a huge reason to have both a Monk and a Prince(ss) but besides that, should be alright. I'd definitely find a way to get the Monk or Prince(ss) to the back row if only for the fact that the Beast King summons all need the front-row to do full damage (except Hypnowl ... who doesn't...

Well, trying to keep the majority of the group: Phalanx/Shinobi - Gives you Clone for a second Phalanx for double Line Guard, double Bodyguard, Line Guard + Bodyguard, etc. Alternatively, can go the Evasion route with Provoke and Parry to help lower damage taken. Double Phalanx is mostly a post-game...

For the record, all chase skills consider multi-hit skills (Meteor, Nine Smash, etc.) as a single attack and, as a result, net a single chase.

Just saying that before something goes off to make a chasing group that revolves around Nine Smash >>

[hide]Ikkitousen[/hide] is essentially a souped up Chaser skill; it'll follow ANY kind of attack with a 100% success rate. [hide]Dual Wield[/hide] with Self-Taught Swordplay gives you the chance to swing 2-8 times [hide](1-4 per hand)[/hide] and then [hide]Ikkitousen[/hide] can chase them all for 33...

In my JP run, I beat the 1st Stratum around level 12-13 (maybe 14 though I don't think so since my Warrior didn't have Blade Rave then). I actually doubt I could beat it any sooner if only for the fact that's about the amount of EXP you get by doing all the quests and rushing through the Stratum >>

They don't get a bonus. They're just not penalized in the front-row. They require the front-row to do their full normal damage.

For the Ant Agony quest, you need to go to [hide]E2 on Floor 9[/hide] to find the entrance to the [hide]Ant Queen's "hideout"[/hide].

Presuming, of course, that's the translation for the quest I'm thinking of, anyway.

Some people also prefer having the main class as a [hide]Shogun[/hide] and sub-class as a Pirate for Swashbuckling and [hide]Ikkitousen (Skill Simulator)[/hide] ...what? No. [hide]Ikkitousen[/hide] and Self-Taught Swordplay are not for the same character. That doesn't even make sense. It's a two ch...

That fight isn't so bad but I found it strangely hard to [hide]get the Conditional Drop of "Kill while Blinded" from him. That and it felt weird not having to kill Golem with instant death for his drop like always.[/hide]
