Level Cap per Stratum most likely; Resting necessary if you go above the cap. Even with pretty tight level caps, some extra leveling would probably be necessary to break them anyway. Would require some playtesting to see what's reasonable for caps. Incidentally, Monk and Phalanx both are pretty good...

Playing DQIX. Collecting Dragonballz. I wish the game wasn't so easy so far. And I'm not even using my skill points yet really :( I do have infinite gold more-or-less though (thx Alchemy). Not that that does anything besides cut down on killing shit for moneyz. Hell, keeps my level down actually~ [s...

Instead of no grinding, I'd just put strict level caps and a no retirement clause. Works far better than the no backtracking rule since that would make some oddities for doing Quests as they're almost entirely about backtracking. Plus it's a hell of a lot easier to enforce. As for the No Item clause...

I might give it a try for my playthrough with the US version. Honestly, it's not that difficult to not die in EO3 once you get a Prince(ss) to around 10-ish and have TP-free healing. At least, hard to die as far as non-FoE/Bosses are concerned (and, even then, many of the bosses aren't that hard eit...

I misread your post and missed the bit on the ATK change but Self covered it. In general, the displayed ATK/DEF is useless (it's never actually used in a formula). Rely more on your STR, wATK [Weapon ATK], VIT, and aDEF [Armor DEF]. And the glitch I mentioned is for active skills. You can sacrifice ...

EO1 was pretty terrible leveling. EO2 is easier than EO3 for leveling due to the amount of EXP you can get from a boss fight. EO3 is probably in the middle of the two. ...and probably the easiest of the three games as well. Anyway, I made this real quick via Excel with the kumicyou numbers for the c...

Most the starting attributes are relatively useless though, to be honest; they won't accurately reflect final stats that well. That said, the entire stat growth from Level 1 to 99 is available so that could be placed on there somewhere (perhaps as a button somewhere to display in another window or s...

I watch Episode 5 of Higurashi whenever I'm feeling down. True story. Though, that part has always bugged me.
It's not how Rika dies in Watanagashi-hen. Not sure why the anime does it that way to be honest.
Edit: I also miss all the TIPS about getting wasted. Biggest loss in all o...
