Re: Games you are playing

Yeah, I'm a little uncertain on the specifics behind Werewolf's Disease Immunity once you lose the "Gift." I imagine it goes away but eh, I may be wrong. And when Fences are introduced, it's with an in-game mention of lower prices. I haven't actually checked in-game, though, since I don't ...

Re: Games you are playing

Shield of Solitude, according to the UESP. Not sure how established it is, but it hasn't been edited out yet. Yeah, I looked it up afterwards. I've not touched basically anything but Whiterun and Riften for quests, lol. I'll look into it when I get to it. Sure, removing the armour might be overkill...

Re: Games you are playing

Incidentally, Skyrim level curve seems to be (Level + 3) * 25 EXP per level with every skill gain giving that much EXP (i.e., One-Hand Weapons goes from 29 to 30 yields 30 EXP). Level here means your current level so Level 1 needs 100 EXP to Level while Level 80 needs 2075 EXP to level. You mean wit...

Re: Games you are playing

If you're not interested in getting to Godlike levels as quickly as possible, I suggest holding off on maxing out Smithing/Enchanting. I'm purposefully limiting myself to only using found materials for them both so I don't end up hitting stupid high levels on them really early. Even on Master, you c...

Re: Games you are playing

To be honest, Frost seems far more like an effect in-game to thwart the player rather than enemies. I haven't found a super awesome use for Frost outside of the fact I enjoy the element more than Fire or Shock. As a spell, it does slow things down though so that's a neat bonus. If you go Spellsword,...

Re: Games you are playing

...dang, that restoration skill blows the Redguard's racial ability outta the water. xD My 2H Warrior (2H + Heavy Armor + Restoration only; Smithing, Enchanting done only with found materials) went from "this sort of sucks never power attack :(" to "holyshitstaminaneverends." Pl...

Re: Games you are playing

Oh, two versions of Resist Magic? 50+ % Resist items? Mundane Ring is back, huh. Together with the free 15% from Mara, that's about close enough to cap on its own. Past cap for Bretons, to the point where there are probably better uses for the enchantment slot. Wait, am I actually trying to reduce ...

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads

So finished Future Babble , would've been sooner but, hey, Skyrim, and going to move on to something else. Chances are likely for The Poisoned Chocolates Case by Anthony Berkely: Sir Eustace is a cad of the first water, with a specialty in other men's wives, and the list of people who might want to ...

Re: Games you are playing

Does Quiet Casting work on Wabbajack? Because that would be amazing. Scy, would you happen to know how Slow Time compares speed-wise to Elemental Fury? I know Slow allows enchanted weapons which could help the actual effectiveness a lot, but which can hit the most times? Honestly, I don't know. In ...

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads

Future Babble is basically just chock full of fun little moments about that. Really, the part of me that enjoys the hell out of seeing failure like that is getting just too much out of this book in that regard. Which is either a problem or working as intended. Huge criticism on Paul Ehrlich ( The P...

6 of the 8 PSP titles for sale today on Amazon I already own. What the fuck...

Actually, pretty much all the Black Friday deals (of games I want) are ones I already own. Maybe I should buy less shit.

Re: Games you are playing

Incidentally, I only tested it for a short period of time (Thanksgiving cooking and all) but it seems to be a flat +Damage boost, not a multiplier. It added +15 to Firebolt (37 -> 52) as well as +15 to Flames (12/second -> 27/second). Found wearable Nocturnal Clothes (Replaces Forsworn -> Nocturnal,...

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads

Gardner ( Future Babble ) really rips into Toynbee a bit in the confirmation bias and illusion of control part. Which, really, is quite fair I suppose. A Study of History was an interesting read to a point, as it made a fairly nice argument towards the cycles of history ... besides the whole being w...
