I like the atmosphere it provides. The song itself just isn't anything special.

The battle music makes me think I'm fighting alien vampires, especially certain parts of the song, I swear I heard the music of a UFO abducting an animal of sorts. It took a long time for the 6th stratum theme to grow on me, considering how little is actually going on in the song. It's more ambiance than it is a "song". The battle theme however, while trying to give off a sense of dread in the first few seconds gets kinda boring afterwards.

While I doubt it had much to do with the fact it was fully orchestrated, I felt that EOIV's OST was the weakest of the series.

As you may already know, Yuzo Koshiro is widely considered to be one of (if not,) the best FM-Synth composers of all time. So it's a tad... disheartening to some seeing (hearing?) a lack of FM-synth, especially since he was chosen by Atlus to work on the EO series because of how adept he was at maki...
