I didn't like later games very much, (maybe new ones are better since I stopped bothering to check) but Eternal Mana the first was pretty great for a game made out of two paperclips and a piece of string. No, they're not. Stay away from them. Far FAR away. Not as bad as games by Compile Heart, but ...

They didn't want a repeat of more game-breaking combinations like Shogun & Shinobi/Warrior.
