my brother bought me Half Life as a present!
Now I feel obligated to play it before I can continue playing Half Life 2

Gone with the Wind is my favorite book, and it is SO racist.
I freaking love it though.

Re: Games you are playing
I always ended up with an evil-aligned Princess leading a squadron of uber-powerfuls in MotBQ. Her power was ridiculous game-breaking (a Princess-led unit gets an extra attack each) and it was kind of impossible not to have her alignment drop all the way to 0. Clerics were easy enough to keep at ali...

Re: General Writing
Nah. I think fanfiction is really easy in a lot of ways.
Then again, I write GW, and I know those characters so well because I've been writing them for about 10 years now. And there's always AU, so that really opens up plot and setting.
Post-canon or AU, that's really the only way I can go.

Re: General Writing
I haven't been able to write at all the past whatever.
Is it I'm sad because I can't write or I can't write because I'm sad?
Ahh a vicious cycle.

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
If I was JK Rowling I would never publish anything. It's doomed to be compared to Harry Potter, and I'm such a pessimist I'm going to say that it's not going to be all that good, because she's honestly not that great of a line-for-line writer. This coming from someone who really likes Harry Potter. ...

Re: What anime are you currently watching?
I watched the first volume of Hetalia I also played it as a drinking game. Rules were as follows: 1) PASTA is seen or mentioned. (This got to be insane) 2) US/UK slash (not nearly as much as I'd hoped!) 3) Russia acts like a creepy rapist (season one is tragically lacking in Russia) 4) China says &q...

Not yet, and it's not going to happen unless Kino stops locking her doors and windows at night. >:[ The door to the building is always locked, I can't do anything about that. If you really feel like scaling a 3-story brick building to reach my apartment, I'll leave the window to my boudoir unlocked...

Re: What manga are you currently reading?
Virtuoso di Amore by Uki Ogasawara Had a lot of potential and didn't really pay off in the end, but overall a fairly enjoyable read. Her art is always really intense -- lots of toner, long intricate eyelashes, super defined and dark lines. I'm not sure I like it -- dreamy, soft art like Hinako Takan...

Re: PnP RPG Thread
Being a Witch is freaking awesome. One of my new favorite things to do ever is using Slumber Hex on a flying creature and watching them just drop out of the sky. Slumber is great because there's no HD cap, and the DC is equal to my highest spell DC since Hex DCs scale based on level. I did that to a...

Re: Games you are playing
Started playing Professor Layton and the Last Specter. Honestly not enjoying it as much as the last three games. Then again the last one in particular is rather impossible to replicate with the awesomeness that was Older Luke. This one is a prequel and introduces a new assistant, Emmy, who I find ex...

Re: Random Image Thread!
...so, after playing Arkham Horror with my friend, I have decided that Kino will have to cosplay Jenny Barnes one day. http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu127/makken123/CardBackii.jpg xD She would be perfect for it. Our final boss was Azathoth, by the way. /groan I am not sure what to make of this!

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
Felt depressed recently and decided to make a random pilgrimage up to World's Best Comics in Newport News. Nothing quite says "get the fuck over yourself, you dumb bitch" like a spending spree. Bought: http://i.imgur.com/F4JSv.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WHx3S.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ueDn6.jpg h...
