Pokemon baby making is very strange.

Fun fact: pokemon don't actually reproduce in the wild. All wild pokemon are just released hatchlings that didn't have the right Nature. Legendary pokemon? There's only one of them because they can't breed.

Currently breeding Absol like there was no tommorrow. Eventually I'll get to where I can get Penta-flawless rather often. (Right now I have Male 31/X/31/X/31/31 and Female X/31/X/X/X/31 with destiny knot & everstone, will replace them as better ones show up of course.)

Sometimes I feel breeding competitive mons is kind of cruel...

[If anyone wants a Pentaflawless Absol once I get the ball rolling just shout. I also have about 3 Pentaflawless Timburrs w/Mach Punch and Drain Punch left to give out. Also, Rey my FC is in the FC thread, and you still haven't added me....]

How is Mega Absol, anyway? I'm really bummed by it's ability.

You can still build the Super Luck set and get away with getting crits more than half the time, so that's one thing.

Not being able to get T-waved/wisped is nice. It lets Sucker Punch get more opportunities than you think, and your opponent can't do silly things to you like confuse ray, etc.

Its higher power gives it a lot more presence and is very threatening, really the hardest part is getting it in and keeping it in. The special attack boost is enough for you to annihilate things that would usually wall you by using Fire Blast. (Forretress and Ferrothron just keel over and die.)

It doesn't like things that are faster than it and can KO it (A la Talonflame/Mach Punch users), and it doesn't like things that live its hit and then proceed to kill back (Slowbro, etc.) Its a little difficult to use but I think its worth it. I plan on using a swords dance set. That and once its mega-evolved magic bounce is available, you can reflect status and protect your other pokemon. Being immune to hypnosis is REALLY GOOD in the battle maison.

Essentially a late game clean-up and helping you weaken existing pokes with pursuit or by wallbreaking by using things like Swords Dance and Fire Blast, as well as protecting allies from status after mega-evolving.

EDIT: Welp, By Egg Move Absol can learn Play Rough. Things I wished I had known sooner, now I have to go grab my mawile and kind of break up the IVs for a bit, but Play Rough is worth it!

Since I have access to Ninetales, and a couple mons I like that are fire, could someone explain the entire mentality behind a sun team?

The idea before weather abilities got hit was that you used pokemon that would help you win the weather war, with only two-three pokemon that actually take advantage of your weather so that you're not helpless.

Around this time its kind of the same, except weather usage has gone down.

Essentially, Ninetales sings "Here comes the Sun" and has a few moves in case it needs to defend itself or set up something, but is otherwise usually switched out immediately. Using a pokemon with Chlorophyll/Leaf Guard/Solar Power, you then proceed to abuse the Suns power to launch high power Solar Beams, Flamethrowers, Growths, Hidden Power (Fire), Synthesis, Morning Sun, and Weather Balls until everything dies.

Balancing out what to use in a sun team is really difficult and I'm having a hard time figuring out how it works exactly. You want to have pokemon that like the sun, but you also need pokemon that can opperate just as good outside of the sun just in case.

Sun Teams tend to like Doubles/Rotation battles most, so that Ninetales support movepool comes more in handy and so that you can have a pokemon usable in the sun immediately. Beware of Rockslide and Earthquake in doubles though. Dugtrio/Aerodactyl/many others can just wreck through a sun team not prepared for them.

Liferake: I'd totes be down for on of your Absols for the Absol Master Race If there's anything that you might need, let me know! (School and Full time working don't allow me to perfectly breed things, but if you need a specific pokemon, or to save time, a pokemon super trained a certain way, I could do that for ya!)

Watching my Nintales getting Parahaxed so much that game XD Awww. No sale on using confuse ray at all (Edit: I tend to forget my Ninetales is a toxic-stall variant.)

ik! i was like "is he....is he gonna get to attack?" though.... dat conkledurr... i know fighting was the overall weakness of the team but good lawdy.... ok... guts swellow it is x-x

My current Team of seven:

Still training, breeding, etc. Pokemon Man. Hard to stop rolling. I got good results using Electrode so I think thats one of my most successful breeding projects, along with Conkeldurr and Drapion.
