I think I liked Team Aqua/Magma the most, Team Galactic is a close second. Team Flare coming in third, with Rocket coming in last.

In the anime, this list is reversed, though Flare hasn't shown up yet.

I liked Team Aqua/Magma because they were a clear case of well-intentioned extremism, and without hypocrisy to boot.

I liked the dynamic of having the two teams fighting each other with Magma and Aqua, but my favorite teams are Rocket and Cipher.

I like Lysander... true, the general whole of team flare (scientists included) was lame. at best. they were just really poorly designed and executed (seriously... they wanted to survive... WITH FLAAAARE!)... which is worse than team rocket....i could seriously go on about how poorly executed flare was... they felt so.....base so that a small child could get behind stopping them (like team rocket) but threw in some REALLY deep and heavy stuff at the end... things im sure would just soar over those kids' heads, and i can only assume it was their for the older audience but then why make the team so simple and flat? i dont get it

but Lysander has this weird arc to him... like he felt he had to do the extreme because he felt it was the only way... but he wasnt so far gone he didnt regret what he was doing... thats just me though

and cipher was just...fun... they were what Rocket shoulda been. steal pokeymanz, corrupt them, distribute them, rule the world from the inside..... THOUGH i wish the whole thing of "shadow pokemon attack people!" thing was played more heavily, but meh

as for magma/aqua..... well they were certainly the most relatable... seeing as how they were the first to actually complete their missions (actually awakening kyogre/groudon) and the fact that they werent necessarily evil.... in fact, looking back, they didnt do much "evil" at all.... they stole a submarine and roughed up a coupla elderly people... but i dont remember them really BEING evil

galactic had this weird marriage of generic team rocket and the ideas behind magma/aqua and i feel it didnt work... revive the legends and wipe everything.... and to do that..... we need to STEAL ALL THE POKEMON! then again i played through 4th gen twice and not recently... i cant remember every little last thing they did

plasma had an interesting premise that was done poorly...... which gamefreak obviously took the wrong way as they went back on everything plasma was in b2/w2 they basically became petty theives... the one and only moment of any significance they had at all..... was kyurem... very sad

Rocket was generic... they were like a theives guild. and theres a certain charm to that for some. pokemon didnt NEED the spectacle (still doesnt in my opinion, but after 6 gens, itd be horrible if they were all generic). at least there are theories cirulating that give it some depth, whether theyre really true or not..

each team has it's own draw to them in my opinion so... -shrug- why bother posting this? because i can dangit!

I dislike all the teams because most of the time, the teams really, really suck. What makes them good is their leader, or the leading figures, and the number one spot there goes to Ghetsis (or as he's called over here, G-Cis).

The guy manipulated a very talented boy and turned him into a more-or-less obedient slave for his own purposes, imposing some ideals onto him and making him believe he could save and free all the Pokemon in the world - only so that Ghetsis could rule the world.

Second place goes to Cyrus, because I just LOVED that guy. He was insane, he thought of Pokemon as nothing more than disposable machines of war he could use to achieve his goal, and even after his defeat the guy still had the guts to say "Y'know what, my idea is the right one. I'm gonna stay in this distorted realm. With absolutely no food to keep me alive, because screw humanity!"

Third goes to Lysandre, who, in my opinion, is Cyrus Light. Like a Coke Light. He's basically the same, just with a little bit less.

Fourth goes to (I don't know their English names, so sorry) Adrian and Marc (Aqua and Magma, respectively). The dudes had a rivalry going on with each other, their teams fought each other, and they managed to do what they wanted to do. And they both wanted to something good, it was just poorly planned. Maybe if they had cooperated they could've done something good.

Last place goes to the Giovanni. He just wanted everything, and he was kinda lame. I liked what they did in HG/SS, with the Team Rocket Admins and them all having a personality and a character, and I liked their "struggle" to get their old boss to notice them and come back to rebuild the team. If only THAT was Team Rocket, they'd be higher up on my list, but Giovanni as their boss ruined it.

Important Edit: Buddy of mine wants a female Charmander with the hidden ability. He's got Gibles with 5 31 IVs for trade.

I thought Lysandre was kind of a lameoid, but they'll probably improve him in the next version like they did for Cyrus.

Lysandre is a really cool name though.

Also I have access to a safari with charmeleons, so I might see if I can't find you one of those when I get the chance.

Except the vast majority of people in the pokemon world who aren't members of one of the teams are needlessly friendly all the time. It would have made more sense if he turned it around and was actually using Team Flare to gather up all the scum.
