By the way

For those curious about "name changing theories,"

Flygon's name in the Japanese version was Flygon
Salamence's name in the Japanese version was Boomander

No way in hell those were switched during localization, the fault lies with how Bagon and Shelgon were named because their Japanese names were Tatsubei and Komoruu respectively...

Butterfree's name was Butterfree in Japanese
Venomoth's name was Morphon in Japanese

I think the resemblance is just goddamn creepy and a massive coincidence
