Currently in my head Jake's whole Unova journey has been rather interesting, because this is the fist one I decided to have him start acting more normal (he's no longer focused on being the best).

Quotes from my mental fanfiction:

Striaton Gym:*

"It's been awhile since we last teamed up, Mel. Think we're still synched?"-- Said before a double battle in the gym.

Nacrene City:
"You are married to him?" -- Said after Lenora's husband comes back, but before he hears news of Team Plasma.

Castelia City:

"Alright then, let's see what you can do! Tricky, I choose you--huh?" -- Said when Jake first used his Zorua in battle and was surprised by its ability.

Nimbasa Gym:

"It just had to be roller coasters..." -- Jake has a fear of them.

N/A (nothing really popped into my head that was in character)








*Mel is my friend's character, who my character meets up with frequently during his journey. She's his main rival and both imply they have feelings that are more than friends for the other.

Jellicent is the Pokemon I am the MOST excited about in this generation (except for perhaps Terrakion, who wins my heart with his grumpy bulky cuteness and his ability to rape Tyranitar), and I'm thrilled it is so good. But honestly, it had me with that big goofy face and the weird and cool typing and the fact that it is so goddamn royal.

I'm torn between whether or not I want the male or female version, because both are kind cool in my opinion.

I was thinking: calm nature, water absorb for water immunity and added survivability, scald, toxic, recover, hex for STAB cruelty off of burns and poison, with leftovers. Paired with Ferrothorn it is an amazing defensive core for a team that can switch into almost anything well. If only Emolga wasn't so crappy and I didn't hate it, you could have an Unova only perfect defense core.

Oh, and obviously, I feel like a name that reflects either the Marquis de Sade or Elizabeth Bathory is an awesome match for this guy/gal.

If you're going that route, Venoshock becomes 130 BP if the target is Poisoned so you can [s]make the case for a ridiculous Galvantula with Compound Eyes STAB Thunder and STAB Poison-imbued Venoshock[/s]oops can't learn it ... though, off-hand, we're looking at like ... Accelgor for Gen 5 that can learn it for STAB (Seismitoad can get it, though). Though all that for a bonus Bug STAB is ... iffy, at best.

I've got in mind a cute little Battle Subway team of Jellicent, Chandelure, and then ... dunno. Cofagrigus, I suppose, since he's got that ridiculously good combination of DEF/SpA/SpD ... but abysmal HP. Just to use the Ghost trio, really.
