The 3ds doesn't do friend codes on a per-game basis like the DS did, just the system's code.

I have a Pokemon Adventure Challenge blog with the url of m-rose-x-adventure over at tumblr.
I kind of wish there was an option to change the measurements in the game if you chose English, I don't like how I'm forced to have the US measurements. I want my meters and centimeters!

wah my friends are having fun with X&Y and I'm not. Stupid life needing me to give away my money for "gas," "insurance," and "food." It's ridiculous.
Did you guys know that Nintendo sells refurbished products on the cheap? There's a few 3DS's on sale on their website for like ~100 bucks and it has the one year warranty. I'm probably going to pick one up in a few weeks.

Could you tell me where I can those? I'm not very far, but I'm worried that I've missed a store along the way. I've only found the first hat store and the barber.

XY! WHOOOOP!
I've been playing for about 22 hours since saturday, and I already beat the E4! Pretty surprising. The game is ridiculously easy due to the new Exp. Share mechanic, that item is so overpowered!
But the game is fun. SO. MUCH. FUN! I gotta say, out of all the game so far, it's the best I've played. The battles are stylish, the new Pokemon are great, fairies are neat, and the variety...by the time I had 3 badges, my team was already full, and it hasn't changed since then. It's insane, because no matter where I went, there was always at least one Pokemon I really wanted in my team Q_Q
Mega Evolutions are fun! I've only tried out three so far, but boy they're great. Disappointed about one certain Pokemon's Mega Evolution because the typing change is...questionable, but still, great stuff!
My final team was a Greninja, Talonflame, Venusaur, Tyrantrum, Dragalge and Pandagro, and I loved it. Now it's time for the postgame! I hope I didn't spoil anything for anybody D: And if anyone has questions, I might be able to answer (probably not, this is the first time I've played a Pokemon game in English).

To be honest I quite like them. On the touchscreen, you have a social kinda menu, that shows your friends online (people registered as friends on your 3ds), acquaintances online (people with whom you've traded/battled), and passerbys online (people who are..online).
You can access the main menu by pressing X as usual. Additionally, on the bottom of that social menu, you have icons for everything in the main menu, which you can simply click. So you click the pokemon icon, and you're in your team without having to press X and stuff. Neat.
You can switch between three tabs in that social menu, the first one being the one I described already. The other two are PokémonAmi (mini game stuff to build friendship), and the Super Training (it's EV training simplified, nice addition).
The menus are pretty easy to navigate, and well organized. When you're in your bag, you have your team displayed on the left side, which simplifies healing and giving your Pokemon items. When you're in the team menu and have a Pokemon selected, you can click on 'Restore' and it takes you to the medicine tab of your bag.
The Pokemon status screen is very simplified - top screen has your stats, bottom screen has your moves. Second tab is the usual "oh look this is where you found the Pokemon and what it likes to do" stuff that's been in the game since Generation IV.
The Pokedex is split into four parts, which you all get through the main story. Central Kalos, Coastal Kalos and Mountain Kalos, which list the Pokemon from the Kalos Region, and the National Pokedex, listing everything. You have the menu part of the Pokedex on the touchscreen, and the Pokemon summary is immediately displayed on top.
I don't think the menus are bad at all, I think they're an improvement over what we've had previously. Especially the bag menu.

Ohhhhh, you guys are battling? Can I battle too? My team's 70-72 (and won't go any higher until next wednesday thanks to my sister winning a bet where I'm not allowed to play for a week...)
HIGHLY ANTICIPATED EDIT: Garrett's FC gives you fighting types (Meditite and Sawk) for the Friend Safari, Snowdome's gives you bug types (Illumise and Paras). Rothene gives steel types (MAWILE! and Skarmory).

Sorry for the double post here D: But I just checked the Pokemon website, went to the Global Link and saw the Pokemiles stuff. YOu can exchange your Pokemiles (I bet it has something to do with how many steps you take in the game) for items. 250 miles give you a Rare Candy, which is absolutely lovely.
