Unsynced PokeMiles can be used in-game to trade for exactly the same items too, in one of the Lumiose City PC (the southern one irrc), so it's not a big deal for going PGL yet. What really matters should be that PokeMiles are used for playing games in "attraction" on PGL, which I suppose is something similar to the Dream World in last gen.

And yeah, Mawmle from safari makes me consider using its mega evolution

Right, I didn't even think about those attractions! I bet it's gonna be a way for us to get the Gen VI Pokemon with their hidden abilities. Also, if you have access to the Friend Safari, what Pokemon type does my FC give you?

Friend Safari has a chance of giving you Starters from your friends. You get a Kalos starter at the beginning, a Kanto starter from the professor, and a Torchic from mystery gift until early next year.

...maybe I should consider adding everyone here. I don't even know what this Friend Safari you're all talking about is, I've pretty much tried to avoid spoiling myself to stay IC for my blog.

You have until the 15th. Of January. It's coming with its hidden ability (the one that raises speed at the end of the turn), and the Mega Stone so you can Mega Evolve it. Basically, you can pick Kalos Water, Kanto Grass or Kalos Grass, Kanto Water, then take Torchic, and you have half your team before you get the second badge.

Klefkis is Steel/Fairy, which is a neat combination (but it gets nightmares dreaming about Fire Types xD). Friend Safari is the new Safari Zone - every friend registered on your 3DS has a Pokemon Type given to them, and three randomly chosen Pokemon of that type, with the third only visible while they are online, playing the game. You get to go into the zone and try to catch those Pokemon then, but this time you get to go in with your own team and balls, so you can weaken them and stuff.

The Friend Safari thing we are talking about is post-game stuff, .

For the main game you can obtain Kalos starter in the beginning and choose one Kanto starter right when you obtain your Pokedex (before 1st gym). The Torchic event can also be received after you get the Pokedex (there will be an extra npc in PC, ask her for any event Pokemon). Other than these three, you won't have other starters in the main game unless you trade with others.

BTW I am aware my third is Venomoth since someone else told me already XD

SPOIL EVERYTHING! So the big plot twist this time is, it's all happening in his imagination and when he wakes up he's in an asylum and....wait, wrong game. And wrong form of media.

I'm okay with not spoiling stuff. I just get way too excited when I can actually contribute to a topic with the things I know, and then assume everybody else knows that stuff too because usually I'm a slow player.

...I look like a Bug Type? I hope you're talking about the looks of my character, not myself D: Not that I'd mind, I like Bug types. Now I wish my sister would just let me play normally again so I can trade and stuff...

@Yggdrago: I wasn't talking about its typing, I was talking about how it's literally just a bunch of keys. People hated Vanillish because it was ice cream, and Klefki is only a bunch of keys. Plus, why have Klefki when you can have Mawile who also has a Mega Evolution?

@Snowdome: Oh, post-game. Alright, I guess that makes sense.

Transfer? If you talk about trading, the GTS and stuff is available right from the beginning (nice one!). If you talk about transferring them from previous generations, either I haven't found it yet or you have to use the new Pokemon Bank thingy they announced (which costs money).

I'm not gonna spoil the plot, I'm just gonna say it gave me the feels, just like it did with Black/White and Black 2/White 2. The games are finally getting stories, and they're doing a fine job.

Mawile is neat. I caught one in the FRIEND ZONE (because that's totally what I'm gonna call the Safari), and am thinking about putting it on the team once I'm done with postgame stuff. I haven't used fairies at all, so looking forward to that.

Eh, people are gonna hate on new Pokemon all the time, no matter what the reason is. Sure, it looks kinda meh, but so did Electrode and Dunsparce, and you can find people who like those two.

Besides, the Bank probably won't be that bad. It's only one payment a year, and I believe it's pretty much for any generation that comes after this as well. So really, it's a great deal.
