There are some parts where most of your stuff is taken away (at least one quest), so if you have any investment in Block, Two-handed, One-Handed or Archery, these spells allow you to make use of that sometimes.

Edit: Bound Arrow is listed as equal to Daedric. No note on Mystic Binding.

Got the Fire Breath shout on my way to see the Grey Beards--I ran into a dragon on the way there.

The battle was amazing.

Also, trolls are right now... Well, trolling me. xD God damn it, stop getting in my way.

So a plain dragon attacked me while I was doing a quest outside Markarth.

The nearby cave bear did more damage to me than it did.

So, I go back to Whiterun with a 40 gold bounty. No big deal, right? Then everyone starts attacking me for no reason. XD I accumilate a 5k bounty by killing guards in self-defense. I made sure just to disable the blacksmith of the Companions, but not kill him.

I finally let myself be arrested....

I still have no idea what the hell pissed them all off. The only thing I did that warranted a bounty was paid off by me--5 gold. XD I got caught trying to break into a house to get evidence for a quest.

...so, yeah... I spent a week in jail for guards trying to kill me for something I had no idea I did. I just felt terrible. What's worse was that the corpses weren't cleaned out of the streets.

I seriously must find these Godlike fauna that people speak of. Bears and Sabrecats are basically chumps on every single character I've rolled.

Also, a 40 bounty is attacking an innocent, Guard, etc. You might have Shouted at one (or accidentally hit one with a shout) or killed an innocent in the wild (Hunters, for instance). I have a 40 bounty for Whiterun on one file for attacking a group of Thalmor that were escorting a prisoner, for instance.

So, I did the Lights Out quest in Solitude. On my way out... Dragon. xD Got rid of those bandits nicely for me. Then I repaid it for saving my life by taking its soul.

Now, I can summon stoooorms~

EDIT: Also, I finally replaced the Imperial Helmet I got in Helgen. xD I got Vokun. I don't use the magic it buffs much, but it just looks too damn cool and is the best helmet I've found so far. xD

Also, I wish I could wear Wolf Armor the whole game without it becoming obsolete. Coolest looking armor I've found so far. Perfect mix of metal, fur, and it seems believable.
