@Kimiko - Bookmarked! Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ is a real game?!
@Ninian - I've never played a Shin Megami Tensei game... how scary are they?
Also! This looks really good!

Re: Games you are playing
@Trifkin Uh, I wouldn't call them scary, but there are some disturbing parts in Strange Journey. Like when demons experiment on humans and so on.
Re: Games you are playing
Eh, I guess I should expand on that. Phantom Hourglass is cute and charming. It tried to play to the strengths of the DS with the touch screen controls. It is a let down to me as a Zelda title itself. Portability isn't something I concern myself with, though, so a title that works as a "pick up and play a bit when out" isn't really a perk for me, just a novelty.
The game just never meshed well with me. I dislike the control scheme and since that's essentially the majority of the game, it stands out as being a larger pain in the ass than it should be.
For what it's worth, it's better than Spirit Tracks. I just don't like either DS Zelda entry.
@Endless Frontier - The combat system is glorious. For about half the game. It breaks down eventually as most of the initial fun of the system is lost a bit when enemies get harder. If you can find it cheap, it's not a bad title really. But, yes, beware bouncing tits.
Edit: Since that "OOPS SOMEONE POSTED" kicked in like three times before this hit, the SMT titles aren't horror by any stretch of the imagination. Unless the inclusion of demons and morality pondering makes for horror.

Re: Games you are playing
The earlier SMT games could be considered more creepy. Some of the hallways have a nightmare-like creepiness.
Like in Shin Megami Tensei: "If..." when you shrunk in size and get inside Orcus' body. Now that stuff is creepy. I'm not kidding.

@Ninian - All right. I'll give it a shot, then!
@scy - : D Thank you for your input. I'll keep it in mind (as well as Zamisk's) when I pick up the game.
@SMT games - I'm just easily scared, I guess. If creepy stuff starts happening I tend to freak out (but only a little!).

Don't worry Trif, SMT is not like that.

Re: Games you are playing
Invitation competitive TF2 has completely revitalized my interest in it as an eSport. Many of these folks have been playing this game competitively for four years... and it really shows when you bring twelve of these girls and guys together.
Re: Games you are playing
It just makes me a little sad because the storyline usually really intrigues me in those games, but I can't play them! If I'm lucky, I can catch a friend playing the game... and duck and cover for the scariest parts.

Re: Games you are playing
It's mildly difficult to be really scared in Dead Space when you have an arsenal fit for a army (granted, said army has nothing but effective mining tools) or any horror game that has that sort of thing. Also:
Elite Beat Agents: Fuck yeah, encouraging people to do awesome shit with the power of song and dance. Better than it sounds, honest.
Henry Hatsworth: A part puzzle game, and part platformer. Contains gentlemen, tea, and giant robot powerup combined with metal music.
Golden Sun: The Dark Dawn is a great game even if you haven't played the 2 GBA games. There are some missables since there's quite a lot of point of no returns, but hey, it's a slightly old-school RPG.
