xP I do too have a soul... somewhere. It's just temporarily misplaced!
Yeah, I looked up how many different versions of the game are out there. Too many. I am liking the DS one, despite my usual preference for 2D graphics in certain types of games.
And I figured out the dubstep thing. Just listen to the first 3 seconds of these two things:
I know they aren't really that similar (especially after those 3 seconds), but somehow I still thought of Cracks immediately when I heard the overworld music.

Yeah, I didn't stick with it for very long. : / I was more surprised that I didn't stick with I & II, though. I usually really love anything on GBA just because of a huge nostalgia factor attached to the graphics on that system for me. It is most likely from having moved around a lot growing up, so the GameBoy and GameBoy Advance were close friends of mine.
I tend to prefer a slightly more linear RPG than those games were. I never had any idea what I was supposed to be doing, even when I talked to every villager in every town I could find. Then again, I could just be really bad at RPGs!

Just wondering. Anyone here in particular enjoyed and wants to play again, or feels like playing, some classic PC games?
What I mean is things like:
Planescape: Torment
Icewind Dale
Baldur's Gate
Fallout
etc.
Haven't trusted the discs I got of BG and ID since I got them 2 years ago. Considering taking up their offers. Or I might just see if they have anything else; Arcanum looks interesting.

On another note, Bastion (PS360PC) is fun and the music is nice and I don't say that because Darren is a cool guy, even if he has the strangest genre names for it ("Acoustic Frontier Trip-Hop" the fuck son?).
I still giggle at that.

@FFIV ... I would like the game a lot more if the encounter rate wasn't so excruciatingly high. "oh look... there's a treasure chest up these five stairs... *10 battles later* x_x it was just an ether... which I need now... because I just wasted mp trying to get to this chest."

Haha, I know exactly what you mean. "What a tiny dungeon! I'll be out of here in mere minutes!"
Half an hour later...
How do that many monsters even FIT in that amount of space?!

Well, this sucks.
So, apparently, someone got together with a giant group of people back in 2003, and through a large amount of testing, made the Ultimate Power Gaming party for Icewind Dale 2. It's min-maxing at its finest.
The sad part?
It really is a very, VERY well built party, based around all aspects you could possibly need in the game, and actually has what I wanted in my groups; a very good mix of classes and races, ranging from a pair of dwarves to a random Drow. In fact, upon realization, though it focuses a lot on arcane magic, it's actually sounds like a very fun party to play, allowing you to form around a pair of clerics and sorcerers, with a conjurer. The only point-and-click class is the fighter/barbarian, and since this is 3rd edition, he has a couple feats you can make use of.
I cannot get the potential party out of my head, and I have a feeling I'll be making a more finalized version once I finish the original, rather than something more varied.
