Re: Games you are playing
Me and Skyward Sword are currently having a falling out.
Decided to pop in Tides of Destiny. Something a little more... easy paced... with moments of heightened aggravation.
So had to fight the second boss of the game. o_O He creamed me without monsters. Then I took in three monsters to see if they could give me an edge. To be honest, I've not made a fighting pet team. So I took a buffamoo, an orc, and a chipsqueak (maybe it could cute the monster to death?). For the love of god, I have no idea WHY I took the squirrel. Except that I did...
The buffamoo was the first to go. The orc and chipsqueak held on a little bit longer before the orc finally gave it up... and then... it was me and the squirrel... together. Champion fighting team. Together, we got that monster down to a quarter of a bar before my faithful companion finally fell from his battle wounds, cashing in all his nuts. As I stood there, shedding tears for my lost companion, I reached deep down, gathered my inner latent powers.... and died a half second later.
Reloaded my game (it was a festival day afterall) and my first question: "what the fuck?! was that squirrel on steroids or something?!" Checked the stats of the monsters I brought with me:
Me: Level 16
Cow: Level 7
Orc: Level 6
Squirrel: Level 16
.... oooooooh... that's when I remembered that prior to putting down the game for a while, the chipsqueak was my latest acquisition... from the current dungeon. I go back into the dungeon to level up this team and to try to make the other monsters as powerful as the squirrel and to boost me and my squirrel up when I realize as I'm fighting some hell hound looking thing... so what level would these creatures be at? o_o I could capture it! I could capture it and find out! OMG you know what, these look just like the wolves, sorta, in Frontier.... "lightbulb!"
I catch two of the hounds, one at level 26 and one at 22. (why, why are they so much more powerful than I am....). oh and yes, of course I bring my faithful chipsqueak.
and I go back to fight the monster.
My sister walks in during my battle, stares at the screen and says "wait? are you making your pets do all the fighting?!"
^_^ Just a little... a lot....
Fuck it, whatever, I WON!! WE BEAT THAT BASTARD!! All I did was stand back and provide support. ... .... ...
Then I do the STUPIDEST THING. I zoom through the cutscene, ladada new special item acquired to beef up my golem ladadada ... DINNER TIME!! As soon as the cutscene is over, I rush out, go to the save point and turn the game off.
I turn my game back on and run over to the person I need and.... the event is not triggering.... nothing... nothing at all... I go to the internet and watch a vid and realize they did one thing that in my haste I forgot to do: they picked the item up to put it in their bag. I look in my bag and sure enough the item is not there. Of course it's not. It's not like the game actually inserts these things AUTOMATICALLY into my sack.
.... I spend the next hour freaking out. I search the game up and down for a possible "lost and found". Go back to the dungeon... nothing... nothing... nothing... nothing... NO ITEM!!! T-T
I search the internet "Tides of Destiny Lost and Found" and several other different keyword combinations. Nothing. Finally I search for something like the item's name or something similarly stupid and read a topic thread and one user has posted some valuable information in reply to some off topic post: "... or just go to Joe since he's the Lost and Found in the game"
.... I searched every inch of the island but it never ONCE occurred to me to TALK to the villagers. JOE IS MY SAVIOR!! <333333333333333
God, I was thinking "what if I just broke this game? But that's so stupid! Why would they allow the game to be so easily broken!? ... because nobody would be dumb enough to forget this item... except me..."
So...yeah.... easy paced.... pffft

Re: Games you are playing
So, Ultimate Tenkaichi can be very fun, but there are some kinks that need to be fixed... mainly how hax the computer players are regardless of their level. I'm basically button mashing until I get a super on them.
Otherwise, it's a very onesided battle.

...Now, I have an image of Rosel saying, "STOP RIGHT THERE WEEABOO SCUM! Nobody speaks Japanese on my watch. I'm confiscating your Japanese goods."
