Still a work-in-progress, but aside from that, !

Which one? N64, gamecube, or ds? personally, I prefer the gamecube version, because it seems like they just didn't try on the ds version, although I do love that garage feature.

I have only played the GCN one.
We had to ban Strike Vanisher models so matches would not last half an hour.

The Gamecube one, although the N64 (V2) one is my favorite.
I am partial to Little Sprinters (or Little Raiders, since the two classes are merged in the Gamecube installment).
Swift is my favorite.

Aerial Beauty, always and forever. The ultimate in freedom.
Usually:
Milky Way
Needle
Freeze/Geo Trap/Wall
Dolphin/Freeze
Wide Jump
People usually overlook the fast that Aerial Beauty models are actually very nimble on the ground, which allows one to reserve their even speedier aerial maneuverability for dodging.

I like Swift's design because it reminds me of a RAcaseal.
I usually use:
Swift
Gatling/Vertical/Knuckle/Rayfall
Double Mine/Geo Trap
Satellite
Wide Jump
I always found wide jump to be more useful to sprinters than further enhancing ground speed, as it makes them very fast in the air.
I usually like to use obnoxious weapons that make a big mess while I run around not getting hit, sometimes I feel daring and use a magnum or knuckle gun, I usually prefer the knuckle gun if I'm going in that close, as I can immediately tackle people out of the air after it knocks them up for some extra damage.
Trap gun is always tempting, but I usually prefer to use something a little more straightforward and powerful so I can jump in and hit them harder when I get an opening, I usually do well enough with bombs and pods that I don't feel the need to use a trap gun on top of it.
Sometimes I swap out Gatling for Flame or Drill.
I did pretty well online on Arena with the knuckle gun , but I usually play against the AI, since I don't really have any friends who are into Custom Robo, and it's very hard to find opponents on Arena. I can at least easily take down Rahu without having to change my usual setup, for what it's worth.
Also it makes me sad that Little Sprinters/Raiders can't use the Acrobat Bomb, due to their poor knockdown rating, even though they don't need it.
My favorite Robo is actually Jameson, but I've never stuck around with Grand Battle long enough to unlock it, and I like playing as faster robots anyway, Jameson is just really cool.

...am I seriously the only one wh used Strike Vanishers in the thick of combat? When I played my friends, I basically wove in and out. I remember using Dragon at one point, which really was not a good choice in retrospect.
Javelein may not be the best Strike Vanisher, but I like it and stuck with it.

Normally, when I play, I weave around the obstacles of the course, setting beast pods at three points around the opponents, this gives me a good opportunity to run up close and use the flame gun, after using the flame gun, I combo into a straight bomb, then retreat and hopefully let the beast pods deal the last bit of damage. One of these usually deals around 150 or so damage, and I find it easy to change it depending on the current condition, but I always try to choose wall-ridden stages, as I tend to screw up on the more open omes.

Roche, you fucking IDIOT. I just looked up what he called himself when he came to Flotsam. I knew something seemed off about that scene when the guard really questioned him.
Emhyr var Emreis, spice merchant. Trades in spices.
Why did I take his path again?

I didn't use Strike Vanishers very much, but when I did I used them very aggressively, using the teleport to get in my opponent's face and tackle them and shit.
