Re: Games you are playing
TF2 MGE tournament.
Played as Pyro. My matches went like:
Beat the Scout
Beat the Pyro
Beat the Soldier
Lost to the same Soldier
Beat the Demoman (barely)
Beat a different Scout
Beat the same Soldier
Beat the same Pyro
Victory.
Aside from that Soldier, it is fairly one-sided for the most part. I have no place in a tournament like this.

Re: Games you are playing
Hmm, got to a kind of stop in Powder. I've just sort of amassed power for a while now. Just in a random way, not even optimal or planned. Though it appears now that you could just keep gathering stuff up to whatever the max values are, or ad infinitum. The greatest slowdown comes from gods denying your worship if you use certain spells.
Using all kinds of spells would turn three of them against you, even though you could simply grind up your approval with at least one of those after each time.
Anyhow, I can already reshape almost all terrain and hazards, and zerg up strong pets like fuck off. I'm also so elementally resistant I keep AoE enemies around as a weapon. If I wanted to, I could simply convert each floor into a hellish landscape only I and a few irrelevant enemies could survive. And it would even be reversible, just in case.
A temporary challenge would be to trade away all my spells, skills and stats for silly bonuses like physical immunity and perma-invisibility, then slowly grind everything back up.
The most dangerous divine punishment I've had in the past? Baleful polymorph. Now merely tickles, if I say "Yes, you may tickle me."
Edit: The only reason I haven't made myself immune to hunger is that it would interfere with cannibalising mages for extra MP. It's not as if I can't take a bite out of the dungeon wall anyway. And curses? I'm made of Holy Water by now. Inventory space? Bag of Holding, damnit.
At least the incredibly useful Mana Potions are very rare. I've wasted a few on temporary stuff.
Edit: Damnit, I figured out how to make arrows. Just wood-magic-em-up and punch some trees.

Re: Games you are playing
Touhou Gensoumaroku ~ The Devil of Decline - Started playing this game a couple days ago. It's by the same people responsible for Genius of Sappheiros.
The game is bloody amazing. Basically, it's Touhou + Persona mixed up with a touch of Pokemon on the side. Shikigami system is pretty awesome, allowing you to customize your characters and make them fill any role you desire.
Also, the game isn't as ball breakingly hard like GoS can be at times.
At the start, you even get to choose your leader from either Reimu, Byakuren, Yukari, or Meiling. Each character gets their own unique Shikigami to start out with + 4 characters that join during the intro. Two of them right at the start and two more join during each character's intro section. Said characters also come equipped with their own Shikigami (Although these 4 shikigamis are the same in each character's intro, just a matter of whom has it equipped when basically).
Each character's intro cutscene is unique in terms of music. Byakuren's, a remix of her final boss theme from UFO, is FUCKING amazing and I love it so damn much.
Too bad I chose Reimu as my starting character, daww. She gets Youmu & Marisa right away as party members while acquiring Mokou & Utsuho as the intro section progresses.
Once the intro finishes though? It's an open world basically. You could go north or south after exiting the shrine and find new areas both ways. Also it loops around so if you were to go north and keep finding new paths up there, you can circle around eventually. Not that it's the best idea because you'll run into a desert area if you go north and it'll eat you alive at the level you'll likely reach there, but still, it makes this game incredibly fun to play.
Currently...just added two new party members to my team and two new shikigami to my roster. Patchy & Yuuka as party members with Yamame & Aya as my new shikigamis.
I had to fight Yuuka to get her on my team. Considering the game hasn't been that tough so far, Yuuka was a surprising change of difficulty. Two turns and she does a boatload of physical damage + some respectable earth damage. Her spellcasting can be denied via inducing Silence thankfully.
Anyways, game over'd on her my first go, took her down the 2nd try, but the game decided to hang on the cutscene afterwards, forcing me to go a 3rd round with her. Only Reimu survived the battle...and even then, she got damn lucky. A physical or two magic spells on the last turn (Status effects do wear off after time) and I would have lost. Sheesh D:.
Currently clearing some low level fields to get my fresh additions up to a decent level, then I'll finish clearing out the 1st stratum (There's 3 of them folks!) before looking around the 2nd stratum.

^ I used to be a completionist, like you. Then I took a despair in the futility.

Hey, mate.
I do not have anything negative to say about an unfinished product. Fortunate is it that they are taking their time with making this the best it can be. The stat system... better than what they had before, but could be better.
