Re: Games you are playing
I still still argue that the P3P has dumber AI. I mean, I put the game down because I got pissed off at Ken.
The kid had Mahama but EACH FUCKING TIME he would ONLY FUCKING CAST HAMA!! :[ P3Fes did some pretty stupid things, yes, but nothing as incompetent as this. It was like the characters were allergic to ma-- skills.
Also it incorporated the P4's knocked down system. In P3 if you got knocked down you lost a whole turn. In P4 and P3P if you get knocked down there's little to no penalty until you are hit once more with a knock out blow. This system made the incredibly annoying Hanged Man moon battle SO MUCH EASIER in the P3P version.

Re: Games you are playing
I mostly got Fes because I was curious about The Answer, and wanted to see the original game's presentation, with the animated scenes and actually having everything modeled instead of little map screens.
I'm still gonna play through P3P as the female character, since the social links are different and stuff.

Re: Games you are playing
To me what made the MC emo was his presentation.
His end of battle animation. He slouches when he's walking. Also during the beginning cutscenes when he's walking through the town he seems to have an aloof sort of character. Then of course there's his MP3 Player that he's always wearing along with Pharos' beginning comment "You can't plug your ears and cover your eyes"
His Persona-awakening moment doesn't help either ^_^.
There are many reasons why his character comes off an emo.
Also, Weea, ^_^ yeah, I can't imagine my first playthrough missing out on many of the scenes, especially the Persona awakening scene. Scy might think that the anime cutscenes are horribly drawn *shrugs* but they still depict some rather kewl moments. Later in the game one of my favorite scenes wasn't even animated in the portable version and I was sorry to not have seen it.

Re: Games you are playing
A bit is lost without them, though, like the initial persona summoning, Thanatos' attack on that shadow kinda loses its edge when done in-engine, since in the animated scene portrayed it a bit more brutally and Thanatos' heavy panting made kind of added to that, not to mention how it clawed its way out of Orpheus' head, whereas in P3P it just kinda poofs into that form.
Also the very first scene, when the power cuts out during the dark hour, the main character's MP3 player stops working and stuff, in P3P I didn't know that electronics didn't work during the dark hour until they told me during the first full moon operation.
Also it was kinda funny how unphased the main character was during his first dark hour.

Re: Games you are playing
A long time ago I played a Half-Life 2 mod called Dear Esther and fell in love with it. After a while I heard that they were planning on remaking it from the ground up, and it's finally going to be released on Steam this Valentine's Day. I cannot wait for it.

Tuning back into the StarCraft II eSports scene after a short absence.
Some interesting new players. They are still bottom tier, but it is nice to mix things up. EmpireKas somehow became good, yet he was taken down by GRUBBY of all people. Speaking of which, Grubby is doing pretty well. He is not winning any notable tournaments, but when he does go down it is to someone GOOD who regularly cleans up GSL Code S-quality players and not a total random.
Zerg defeats seem to occur sooner than later, more often than the past. Protoss upgrade cost reduction was a nice change. Terran have compensated for the EMP nerf by just... getting a ridiculous number of Ghosts. EMP is still ridiculous. Colossi are still ridiculous. Hellions... not as strong as they used to be, but still good. Hard to say whether or not Fungal Growth is still broken when Zerg players are dying before I get the chance to see it in action.
