While he could explain it better, but, Archaic writes up game reviews for a website: http://zentendo.com
He has to send them back, but he is sent video games from publishers so that he can review them and promote them. One of his articles, though not his most recent (I think that's Doodle Hex?): http://www.zentendo.com/reviews.php?art ... 456&page=1 <-- his name is Ian Brown
*Sigh* :\ A part of me really wants to join with him but, I'm much too busy with school to be able to be dependable on something like that.
<_< I've even noticed that they are now looking for anime and manga reviewers for their staff.
But, yeah, hence why he's "suppose" to be reviewing them and why EA keeps sending 'em.
My opinion, Ian is one of the only reviewers that reviews niche games there. I say "fuck the EA sports games, leave those to the others and keep on reviewing the kewl stuff!"

That was Boing! Docomodake, which is basically a marketing game from Japan for a telecommunications company. Good game though. Reminds me of basic Mario games.
I don't send any back... only if Nintendo sends them to me which is rare as Nintendo's PR changes so frequently it's unreal.
I love niche games, the more niche the better, and the harder they are, the better the score. I want my games to make me throw them across the room, then pick it up, dust it off and put it back on. That's the sign of a great game XD. Doodle Hex, Baroque, Orc's and Elves and a few others have done that this year (I actually think Orcs was last year...).
But yeah, I review games. It's an enjoyable past time that's allowed me to have a wide range of gaming tastes, it's also allowed me access to the PR world, which I already had, but in a different industry (aviation) and gaming/anime is much more fun

I am supremely interested. Can you give me any pointers for sending them a resume/applying for a position? My fiance is a writer and plays video games -- we could maybe even work some sort of "Video game couple" element to it as we have both conflicting and complementary tastes. Or not, as writing is more his thing. >_>;
