I haven't played EO3 yet, but have they fixed the problem with labeling things in over abundance? Floor 27 of EO1 was such a dick move on their part for filling it with pitfalls and essentially not letting you label them all.

The third scan seems to show that the LIMIT function has been replaced with a BURST function...hmmmm
Also map-making include tile-type things like EO3's voyages (like placing islands down, but instead its trees and mountains and stuff)

Now, I know we have an emotional attachment to our former fuzzy friends, but I cannot say I am horribly opposed to a little disambiguation in what we are getting ourselves into when a specific area has multiple FOEs. On one end of the spectrum, not knowing what you are about to fight adds an element of charm and surprise. On the other hand, getting to see the FOE first-hand will help improve the sense of immersion, and fear.

Also, it was rather silly in the event of scripted FOE/boss encounters. When I enter a room with a giant sentient whale, I immediately want to be taken back by his size.

In related news, I have resumed my EO marathon (that I began starting from its five-year anniversary). Still on EOI, third stratum. Took a short break after that ridiculous five-day mission in B8. Will likely pick up Tales of Abyss tomorrow... so the streak may once again be put on hold.
