True, but this KickStarter project is also raising money to help future games by MonkeyPaw/GaijinWorks (which you might find more interesting), and is a way of showing Japanese game companies that, yes, this way of funding translations works, so sell those licenses already.
It's kinda hard to convince people of those aspects though. Kind of a chicken/egg problem there, since without such funding, there'll be no licensing, and without licensing, gamers don't want to contribute. So it depends on people believing that it will work and that their contribution will help make it reality.

Though it is kind of a shame they limited the classes races could be. Mix the ability to make a good diablos paladin with the ability to create an evil fallen angel.



EDIT:
Just read the Kickstarter comments, this one gave me an idea:
"What they SHOULD do is, onve this is funded, wait on CoH III till Kickstarter III and do another series first."

The idea is: Release CoH2, while at the same time plugging a kickstarter for CoH3. Try to build a fanbase again before doing it, pretty much.

Otherwise, I'm just going to be sad since I'm keeping track of Wasteland 2 at the same time, and the difference is extraordinary.
